The 15th Conference of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province (term XIV)

On the afternoon of March 11th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held its 15th meeting (14th term) to discuss and elect additional members to the Committee; to appoint a Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term; and to discuss other important matters.

Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, chaired the conference.

Pham Mai Anh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, announced the Provincial Party Standing Committee's notice regarding the nomination of candidates for the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Ms. Le Thi Huyen, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, presented the proposal to consolidate and supplement the Committee's membership, and to appoint a new Vice Chairperson of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 14th term, 2019-2024.

Following the announcement from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee regarding the nomination of candidates for the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term, the conference, with a high sense of responsibility, democracy, and unity, proceeded with consultations and unanimously voted with 100% agreement to elect Comrade Le Hong Phong, Standing Committee Member and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, as Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 14th term, 2019-2024.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Le Hong Phong delivered a speech accepting the position.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Le Hong Phong thanked the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the members of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for their trust and for nominating him to the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. He also pledged to continuously cultivate and improve his political qualities, ethics, and lifestyle; to be closely connected with the grassroots, and to unite with the leadership and staff of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to successfully fulfill the assigned political tasks.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, presented flowers to bid farewell to the member who will not be participating in the 14th term of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Le Hong Phong on being elected by consensus to the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 14th term, 2019-2024.

Also at this conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee announced the dismissal of two members; and appointed Mr. Duong Van Hue, Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, as a member of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 14th term.

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also launched the competition "Learning about the history and traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the history of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Thanh Hoa province". Accordingly, the competition will take place over 8 weeks, from April 1st to May 26th, 2024, in the form of weekly online multiple-choice questions.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Pham Thi Thanh Thuy delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, congratulated Comrade Le Hong Phong on his recent nomination as Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. She also expressed her hope that Comrade Phong would leverage his experience and continue to work with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to successfully implement the planned coordinated action programs.

Regarding the competition "Learning about the traditional history of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the history of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Thanh Hoa province," the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested that all members, organizations, and Fatherland Front committees in districts, towns, and cities seriously disseminate and implement the competition, creating a widespread response among members, affiliates, and all strata of the people, aiming for the highest possible participation rate to achieve the best results.

Overview of the conference.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested that the Fatherland Front committees in districts, towns, and cities continue to focus on directing the Fatherland Front Congresses at the commune level, striving to complete the grassroots-level congresses by March. Along with that, they should prepare the best conditions to organize the Fatherland Front Congresses at the district level on schedule, ensuring adherence to the directives of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the guidance of the Provincial Party Organization Committee on personnel matters, following the correct procedures. Member organizations and political and social organizations are requested to continue to closely coordinate to effectively implement the unified action program, especially in directing the propaganda for the Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels, carrying out emulation movements, campaigns, and projects to celebrate the Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels.
