On January 1, Dong Trieu City held the Investment Promotion Conference in 2025. This event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the announcement ceremony of the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of Dong Trieu City. Attending the conference were Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry ; relevant ministries and branches of the Central Government; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province and nearly 200 enterprises in the province and neighboring localities.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Cong, Secretary of the Dong Trieu City Party Committee, introduced to the business community inside and outside the province the legal corridor on planning, urban development orientation, the city's potentials and advantages, and investment attraction viewpoints with the motto "Dong Trieu develops - Enterprises prosper - People benefit".
The Secretary of the City Party Committee affirmed that the Party Committee and the Government of Dong Trieu City always identify that the maximum support and companionship for investors is the key factor to promote sustainable socio -economic development. With tireless efforts and unanimous coordination, investment projects will achieve outstanding success, bringing great value to both businesses and the sustainable development of the city. This is the basis for building Dong Trieu into an attractive investment destination, contributing to bringing the locality further on the path of modernization and integration.
At the conference, delegates were provided with information on the potentials, strengths, investment prospects and development orientations of Dong Trieu City; introduced the Project to adjust the City's Master Plan to 2040. In particular, to clarify the orientations, opportunities, advantages, potentials, as well as the advantages and difficulties when investing in Dong Trieu, delegates also participated in a discussion on issues surrounding the orientation, attraction and calling for investment from investors to Dong Trieu City. Opinions focused on clarifying the development space of the young city of Dong Trieu, especially in the fields of industry, services, and tourism; bottlenecks in digital infrastructure, urban infrastructure, industrial park infrastructure, and institutions; the need to change thinking about developing green ecosystems; green industry, smart industry, etc.
Talking about the city's development opportunities, delegates said that it is necessary for central ministries, branches and the province to join hands in removing bottlenecks, especially the smoothness of infrastructure; the openness of policy mechanisms and human factors in the political system.
Participating in the discussion, many investors also pointed out the advantages and difficulties when enterprises invest in Dong Trieu City in particular and Quang Ninh Province in general; at the same time, they shared their aspirations, proposed investment needs and ideas, as well as their wishes for local authorities and Party committees in implementing investment in the area. Dong Trieu City leaders made the city's commitments to investors when choosing Dong Trieu as an investment destination. In particular, they committed to accompanying investors; committed to ensuring a transparent, stable and long-term investment environment; created maximum conditions for infrastructure connection to the foot of the project; paid attention to the sustainable and long-term development factors of investors and employees at enterprises; committed to creating conditions for connecting investors with partners in market research, expanding production, promoting efficiency, and optimizing investment projects.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: With its unique potential and strengths, in recent years, along with the general development of the province, Dong Trieu City has developed rapidly in all fields, with a strong business community. Dong Trieu is becoming a promising destination, a place worth researching, investing, cooperating and developing.
To further attract investment capital, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that Dong Trieu City focus on promoting and attracting investment into the area with the utmost sincerity, considering the success of investors as the success of the locality. From there, innovate thinking, working methods, remove difficulties and obstacles and create maximum conditions for businesses to develop sustainably. Suggest that the provincial departments and branches continue to pay attention and create conditions to support Dong Trieu City at the highest level in attracting investment and supporting resources in economic development.
At the conference, delegates witnessed the ceremony of granting investment policy decisions, investment policy adjustment decisions, land allocation and land lease decisions for 4 projects, with a total investment of over 2,000 billion VND. At the same time, they witnessed the signing ceremony of investment memorandums of understanding for 5 projects with a total investment of about 7,400 billion VND.
