In his opening remarks at the conference, journalist To Quang Phan, Standing Committee member of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of the Citizen and Education Promotion Magazine, and President of the Hanoi Journalists Association, stated that in 2024, the Journalists Association of the provinces and cities along Highway 6 had united, encouraged, and motivated its members and journalists to effectively disseminate political tasks and achieved many significant accomplishments in their professional activities.
Local associations have made many innovations in their operating methods, attracting a large number of members; they have organized emulation movements well according to the specific characteristics of each unit and linked them to political events, celebrating major holidays of provinces and cities, and the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day.

Press agencies in the cluster have also made many efforts in innovation, embracing technology, and improving content and presentation through the creation of new special pages, sections, and programs. They have effectively contributed to the propaganda work, encouraging people nationwide, ethnic minorities in the Northwest region, and Hanoi to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws.
Members of the Cluster consistently fulfill their assigned political tasks, strictly adhering to the laws and regulations on journalism, the Association's Charter, the Code of Professional Ethics for Journalists, the Rules for Using Social Media, and the emulation movement "Building a Cultural Environment in Press Agencies and the Culture of Vietnamese Journalists" with 12 criteria issued by the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Sharing information about the draft report summarizing the emulation work in 2024 and the direction and tasks for 2025, journalist Kieu Thanh Hung - Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association - said that in 2024, the Journalists Association in the Cluster completed the dossiers requesting the Vietnam Journalists Association to admit 25 members who are qualified reporters and staff members according to regulations. The entire Emulation Cluster currently has 1,477 members who have been issued Vietnam Journalists Association membership cards for the period 2021-2026.
The Journalists' Association in the Emulation Cluster has coordinated with press agencies and the Professional Training Center of the Vietnam Journalists' Association to organize many training courses to improve the professional skills and modern journalistic techniques of its members.

Social and charitable activities have always been a priority for the Journalists' Associations in the cluster. In 2024, the Journalists' Associations in the cluster mobilized and appealed to many organizations and sponsors to join hands with the Associations in doing good social charity work. In particular, the Hanoi Journalists' Association and media agencies actively and proactively mobilized and appealed to businesses to sponsor and support funding, donating many gifts to people in difficult circumstances, families of policy beneficiaries, and especially those affected by Typhoon No. 3.

At the conference, delegates shared best practices and innovative approaches that yielded high efficiency in the emulation movement and activities of provincial Journalists' Associations; applying the experiences of each organization to cultivate and continuously develop to meet the demands of the current digital transformation of journalism.
Many delegates suggested that plans for launching annual writing competitions and journalism awards should be issued early so that all levels of the association can implement them; many delegates also offered solutions to make the emulation and reward work more effective.
