The competition had 17 teams from villages, restaurants, and hotels in Dong Van commune. Here, the teams prepared typical local dishes such as: Dishes made from golden beef of the Stone Plateau, mountain goat, black bone chicken, traditional cakes; the ingredients used for the dishes were also traditional local ingredients. Through the introductions and presentations, the judges and visitors learned more about the typical dishes of the ethnic groups in the commune.

Through the contest, the aim is to introduce and promote the image and taste of delicious dishes made from local ingredients and cuisine to the people and tourists at home and abroad; gradually improve the quality, value, brand, and nutrition of local cuisine when preparing dishes, not only delicious but also beautiful and nutritious. At the same time, the contest is also an opportunity for restaurants, hotels, and villages to exchange and learn experiences in preparing dishes. Thereby preserving and promoting the value of traditional culinary culture, contributing to improving the experience of tourists, promoting local tourism development.
