Today, more than 950,000 students across the province begin the new school year.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Today (September 5th), along with millions of students nationwide, more than 950,000 students in Thanh Hoa province joyfully celebrated the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025-2026.

This year, the opening ceremony of the new school year was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) concurrently with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the National Ministry of Education (now the MOET ). The ceremony took place from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), was broadcast live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television and connected online to all educational institutions, from preschool to university, nationwide.

To ensure the opening ceremony was solemn and on schedule, the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training directed and guided schools to prepare the best possible conditions, from facilities to human resources, for the new school year. From 7:15 AM to 7:55 AM, schools throughout the province gathered, organized themselves, welcomed new students, performed welcoming cultural shows (if any), announced the purpose of the ceremony, introduced delegates, and delivered welcoming speeches for the new school year by the school principals. From 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School (Hac Thanh Ward) participated as a live online broadcaster, transmitting images and the atmosphere of the opening ceremony to the main broadcast point. Other educational institutions in the province followed the commemoration and opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year on VTV1, Vietnam Television.

September 5th also marks the first day of the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year.
