"The New Year's Message" is a key part of the special Tet program series "Happy Spring - Family Reunion Tet 2024" by VTC Digital Television, scheduled to air for 90 hours, starting at 6:00 AM on the 30th day of the Lunar New Year (February 8, 2024) until the end of the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year.

The program was highly welcomed by leaders of ministries, sectors, and localities for sharing achievements, summarizing and reviewing the successes of the past year, and moving towards solutions, assessments, and analyses of the situation and solutions for local economic development as well as addressing issues related to ministries, sectors, and the nation.

This year, the guests on VTC's broadcast had diverse emotions, but they all shared a deep belief that we will overcome all challenges and enter the new year with many new victories.

In the current difficult economic context, the whole country is struggling to overcome challenges, the messages sent from the guests can be said to be the guiding principles for each ministry, industry, and locality, as well as painting the most authentic and orthodox pictures from the leaders.

According to Thanh Hoa Secretary Do Trong Hung, the Provincial Party Committee will resolutely fight to prevent manifestations of bureaucracy, corruption, negativity, and waste. Determined to build a streamlined political system that operates effectively and efficiently. Building a team of cadres at all levels with sufficient qualities, capacity, and prestige to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.

As a locality with a high economic growth rate in recent years, the Party Secretary of Nam Dinh, Pham Gia Tuc, has identified the marine economy as the driving force for the province's development in this term and many terms to come.

"We will not sacrifice the environment for growth and development. Nam Dinh's growth is rapid, sustainable, and ensures that the lives and quality of life of its people are continuously improved. The goal is to make Nam Dinh a desirable place to work, a tourist destination, and a truly livable place," Mr. Tuc shared.

As a leader who has left many good impressions on local people, Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thieu said that by publicly announcing his hotline number to receive all feedback from people, from there considering and choosing to solve problems, even personally going to the locality to handle work, directly meeting people to solve hot issues, has helped people believe in the government and support the government.

"Since I took over as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee from the beginning of my term until now, the people's trust in me has increased. I do what is beneficial to the people, I do not do what is harmful to the people, in principle, because I live for the people, I do work for the people, I do not participate in negative issues, then the people will trust me. And the people's trust is the most valuable lesson for the current management of social security and order," Mr. Thieu shared.

Help people understand the government better

Regarding foreign affairs, according to Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, 2023 was a vibrant year for foreign relations with many notable achievements.

External relations, both bilateral and multilateral, continue to expand and deepen, with relations with many important partners reaching new heights and achieving qualitative advancements, notably with neighboring countries, China, the United States, Japan, and many other partners.

Foreign affairs activities, especially high-level foreign affairs, take place vigorously and widely across continents and at many important multilateral forums and mechanisms.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung expressed pride in the achievements the industry has made in the past year in each field, especially tourism. With 12 million international visitors to Vietnam in 2023, exceeding the target by 4 million, this is a remarkable figure demonstrating the success of the industry.

This year, Dien Bien province is rushing to prepare for a big holiday, which is the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory. Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong, Secretary of Dien Bien, said that the Politburo and the Secretariat have agreed to hold a national celebration.

In particular, the Government and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism have also assigned the province the task of implementing the Dien Bien Phu National Tourism Year 2024. These are two very important tasks for Dien Bien in 2024.

Currently, the province is focusing on urban beautification and repairing important roads. 45 national historical sites have been fully prepared with necessary facilities and plans to ensure the best possible service for the commemoration ceremony.

In 2023, the Vietnam Journalists Association had many active activities, improving the professional quality and expertise of the country's press, making great contributions to the development of Vietnam's Revolutionary Journalism.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, said that 2024 is predicted to be the year of strong application of AI and virtual assistants. In particular, Artificial Intelligence and many other technologies are considered to be a challenge and will greatly affect the traditional way of doing journalism.

The press and media need to overcome difficulties to turn challenges into opportunities. At the same time, the economic aspects of journalism will offer solutions to address the current situation so that the press can survive and continue its mission of serving readers and the people.

According to journalist Tran Duc Thanh, Director of VTC Digital Television Station, the program "Spring Message" is a mission in conveying messages from Party and State leaders, leaders of ministries and branches on the economic situation of localities and the country, helping people understand and overcome challenges together, becoming a bridge connecting people with the government and leaders to join hands to overcome difficulties.
