More than 45,000 elderly people in Ha Tinh receive social pension benefits

(Baohatinh.vn) - From July 1, 2025 to present, Ha Tinh has more than 45,000 elderly people receiving social retirement benefits according to Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP dated June 30, 2025 of the Government.

Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP dated June 30, 2025 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of subjects and conditions for receiving social pension benefits; social pension levels; procedures for implementing social pension benefits; support for funeral expenses; funding and implementation of social pension benefits payment takes effect from July 1, 2025.

Implementing Decree 176, the Ha Tinh Department of Health has issued many documents directing and guiding localities to receive dossiers at commune-level public administrative service centers to support the elderly in declaring and completing dossiers to receive social pension benefits.

Mr. Nguyen Vinh (70 years old) and his wife, Mrs. Ho Thi Xuan (72 years old, in Thanh Hoa village, Mai Phu commune) are near-poor households and are supported with an additional 500,000 VND/person/month.

According to preliminary statistics of the Ha Tinh Department of Health, from July 1, 2025 to present, the whole province has had 45,011 elderly people receiving social pension benefits, including 24,169 people aged 80 and over, 18,894 people aged 75 to under 80 and 1,948 people aged 70 to under 75 from poor and near-poor households. The social pension benefit level is 500,000 VND/person/month with a total payment of more than 22.5 billion VND.

Mr. Mai Le Thuoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Health said: "In the coming time, the Department of Health will continue to coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to promote propaganda work on social pension benefits; at the same time, direct communes and wards to regularly review, update and count cases eligible for benefits according to Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP to ensure full and timely settlement, not to "miss or miss" beneficiaries".
