The Huawei Watch GT 4 was first introduced by the Chinese manufacturer on September 14th in Barcelona, Spain, but sales didn't begin until October 4th. According to official information, products in the smartwatch line running the latest HarmonyOS operating system will launch in Vietnam on October 5th, just one day after its European launch. Prior to that, the device was introduced in China on September 25th.
The 41mm Watch GT 4 model with Milanese band will not be available in the collection in Vietnam.
There will be a total of 7 Watch GT 4 models officially sold in Vietnam, including 4 versions with the same 46mm face size (instead of 2 like the previous generation), with the most noticeable difference being the strap material, which includes rubber, leather, fabric, and stainless steel.
The smaller 42mm size of the GT 3 has now been adjusted to 41mm and offers three strap options: leather, synthetic rubber, and a silver metal strap (which Huawei calls Two-tone Piano Key). The Milanese strap version (in gold) will not be available in Vietnam. The manufacturer retains the traditional round dial design across all models.
However, detailed pricing for the products is still unavailable. Some sources reveal that the price will not differ significantly from the previous GT 3 generation at launch, ranging from 4 to 6 million VND. The 46mm version, using a stainless steel strap and featuring a different design from the other three models, will be priced higher, predicted to be between 7 and 9 million VND.
The Watch GT 4 upgrades the sensors and several features related to tracking the wearer's health and fitness.
Huawei announced that the 46mm version boasts a 14-day battery life, while the 41mm version offers 7 days under normal usage. In addition to upgrades like TruSeen 5.5+ technology, new sensors, and algorithms, both devices improve battery life by 20% compared to the GT 3. The Always-On Display (AOD) also displays 20% more information than before.
The device offers over 100 workout modes, including eSports . The newly introduced Stay Fit feature measures calorie intake and provides real-time health data. According to Huawei, the new generation of smartwatches is 30% more accurate in determining location than its predecessor, even in high-rise buildings. To achieve this, engineers placed the GPS chip on the side, facing upwards while the user wears it, instead of in the center of the device as before.
