Ranking higher in both is Hue , the culinary center of Central Vietnam, which TasteAtlas placed at number 35, ahead of destinations in "culinary powerhouses" like Mexico and Brazil.
When visiting Hue, TasteAtlas critics recommend that food lovers try Hue beef noodle soup, grilled pork skewers, steamed rice cakes, sweet potato cakes, clam rice, tapioca dumplings, and more, along with a list of delicious and affordable restaurants they've tried there.
Among them, grilled pork vermicelli stands out as one of the best noodle dishes in the world, according to this website's ranking.
Hanoi enters TasteAtlas Top 50 for the first time.
Closely following behind is the capital city of Hanoi at position 40, impressively ahead of famous cities such as Shanghai (China), Marseille (France), New Delhi (India)...
Although ranked lower than Hue, Hanoi stands out with countless dishes that are on TasteAtlas's must-try list, including pho, grilled pork vermicelli, crab vermicelli soup, snail vermicelli soup, spring rolls, and more.
Many famous eateries in the area were also named by TasteAtlas, such as Bun Cha 34, Pho Bat Dan, Xoi Yen, Pho 10...

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City, the culinary capital of Southern Vietnam, unfortunately dropped out of the top 50, much to the disappointment of Hanoi, despite its diverse array of delicious dishes from neighboring regions.
Notably, beef stew holds the title of the best Vietnamese breakfast dish and has made it into the top 30 best breakfast dishes in the world.
One unique aspect of this place is that the delicacies of Central and Northern Vietnam are just as outstanding as those of Southern Vietnam. The Ho Chi Minh City version of pho, bun rieu, bun bo Hue, etc., has been highly praised by critics and included in lists of must-try dishes.
This year, Hue has temporarily dropped 6 places compared to last year's ranking of culinary cities.
However, the top 50 welcomes a major Vietnamese landmark, Hanoi, and it's highly likely that next year, Vietnamese cities will continue to climb the rankings as TasteAtlas's culinary experts sample more outstanding dishes and eateries across Vietnam.

This year, the top four positions on the list are all occupied by Italian teams, namely Naples, Milan, Bologna, and Florence.
Last year, a similar trend unfolded, with Rome, Bologna, and Naples topping the list, solidifying the position of Italian cuisine in the world.
