Hue IOC contributes to helping people "master" information to develop the economy.

With the goal of achieving multidimensional, inclusive, and sustainable poverty reduction, Hue City has implemented numerous solutions to ensure social security and economic development during the 2021-2025 period. Infrastructure projects, livelihood initiatives, vocational education, and communication efforts have been implemented synchronously, contributing to narrowing the gap between the city center and remote areas.

In the field of information and communication systems, it is essential to mention the timely dissemination and transmission of information, as well as appropriate solutions, which Hue IOC (under the Department of Science and Technology) has implemented.

Through the Hue-S platform, the Hue IOC Center has continuously disseminated media information related to events and activities in the economy, culture, society, education , tourism, etc. At the same time, numerous warning messages have also been broadcast to alert the community and help them take precautions.

The digital skills training program for people in Hue City has been widely implemented, reaching everyone from officials, civil servants, and employees to small business owners, the elderly, and people in remote areas.

This helps people proactively adapt to technology in various fields, improve the quality of their cultural and spiritual lives, and access more relevant information for economic development.

The units have distributed over 6,000 leaflets promoting public services, 4,000 Hue-S guidebooks, 56,000 digital skills handbooks, and 14,000 information security handbooks, helping people easily identify and prevent online fraud. Courses, workshops, and thematic seminars have also been continuously organized, attracting thousands of participants.

In particular, departments and agencies have also organized many online competitions on the Hue-S platform, such as: Understanding Online Public Services; Understanding the Digital Transformation of Hue City in 2025; Understanding Legal Regulations on Social Work in Hue City in 2025; Understanding Administrative Reform in Hue City in 2025; Competition on Understanding Ethnic Minorities, Beliefs and Religions…

Similarly, models such as "Digital Ambassadors," "Digital Student Volunteer Teams," "Digital Families," and "Digital Markets - Digital Rural Areas" have been implemented, contributing to the dissemination of digital skills to all segments of the population.

Notably, the competition to learn about the movement of farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty , attracted the participation of nearly 7,100 people from various localities in Hue City.

The competition content focuses on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and documents of the Vietnam Farmers' Association related to the development of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas, and building a movement of farmers competing in excellent production and business.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Quang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of the Hue City Farmers' Association, said that the competition is not only a knowledge-based playground but also an opportunity to promote the spirit of learning, solidarity, and creativity in production, striving to become wealthy and sustainably reduce poverty among farmer members in the city.

According to the Department of Science and Technology, more than 66% of Hue residents have now acquired basic information and communication technology skills. To ensure the rapid and synchronized dissemination of official communication, the Department of Science and Technology has directed the Hue IOC Center to develop an AI virtual assistant integrated into Hue-S, helping people learn digital skills in a personalized and convenient way.

At the same time, we will maintain the "One Minute of Digital Skills Learning Every Day" section and develop a flexible and accessible digital skills learning ecosystem. This will help people not only be recipients and accessers of information but also active creators, contributing to socio-economic development.

In addition, the "Communication and Warnings" section on Hue-S also provides a lot of information and policies to the people, such as: Regulations on the level of support for overcoming animal disease outbreaks in Hue City; Regulations on the level of support for crops, forestry, and aquatic products damaged by natural disasters; Accessing policies to support and encourage agricultural production development, and what procedures need to be followed?...

Furthermore, regularly updating information on weather conditions, forecasts, and warnings about natural disasters on Hue-S has helped communities, especially people in rural and remote areas, to plan their planting and production accordingly, increasing productivity and output; or proactively respond to natural disasters, accelerate solutions to protect crops and livestock, and minimize economic losses...
