Cancel the decision to correct the year of birth on the secondary school diploma of the town chairman

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Ca Mau Department of Education has revoked and canceled the decision to correct the year of birth on the secondary school graduation certificate of a chairman of the People's Committee of a town in Bac Lieu province.

On December 22nd, according to a source from Dan Tri newspaper, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province issued a decision to revoke and cancel Decision No. 14 (dated July 6, 2020) regarding the correction of the content recorded on the secondary school supplementary education diploma of Mr. D.MT (birthplace of Minh Hai, now Ca Mau and Bac Lieu).

Mr. T. is currently the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Rai town, Bac Lieu province.

Previously, in 2020, Mr. T. applied to have his year of birth adjusted on his junior high school diploma, from 1966 to 1964.

Subsequently, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province issued Decision No. 14 (dated July 6, 2020) to amend the year of birth recorded on the junior high school supplementary education diploma from 1966 to 1964, citing the reason based on Mr. T's identity card.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, the reason for revoking and canceling Decision No. 14 is that it was not implemented in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on the management of junior high school, high school, teacher training college, teacher training college, higher education diplomas and certificates of the national education system.

Regarding Mr. D.MT's diploma, according to our investigation, the authorities in Bac Lieu province recently requested the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province to verify the legality of Mr. T.'s junior high school supplementary education diploma.

Specifically, the junior high school supplementary education diploma issued to Mr. T., awarded in the exam held on January 9, 1985, at the Tac Van examination board, does not indicate the passing grade, nor does it include a photograph or signature of the recipient.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, verification from various units revealed that an exam was held on January 9, 1985, but no records of the Tac Van examination board (the location indicated on Mr. T.'s certificate) could be found.

According to a recent conclusion by the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, after reviewing regulations and response documents, there is insufficient basis to determine whether the document signed by the Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province confirming the secondary school supplementary education diploma of Mr. D.MT was legal or illegal.
