The Indonesian government plans to renovate the facilities of the Borobudur Buddhist complex in Yogyakarta, Central Java.

This is the oldest Buddhist site in the world . Accordingly, the government will improve infrastructure and transportation to Borobudur, focusing on developing a network of roads, toll roads, and railways to facilitate travel from Yogyakarta International Airport to the site.
In addition, the Indonesian government will also develop supporting areas around Borobudur such as tourist villages and community cultural centers.
The Borobudur Buddhist complex is one of Indonesia's most popular tourist destinations and a center for Buddhist tourism.
UNESCO considers Borobudur one of the world's greatest Buddhist monuments, built during the 8th-9th centuries by the Syailendra dynasty.
This complex includes a three-tiered stupa with a structure consisting of a pyramid-shaped base with five concentric square steps. The base is conical with three circular pedestals, and on top is a massive stupa.
