Visa and VNPT Money launch international transaction feature.

Visa, the world's leading electronic payment technology company, has partnered with VNPT Money to launch the International Transaction feature as part of the Visa Pay project.

The International Transaction feature is especially useful for Vietnamese people traveling , working, or studying abroad.

This is a new solution that allows VNPT Money users to make quick and secure payments across the entire Visa payment acceptance network domestically and internationally.

By becoming the first partner in Vietnam to implement this feature with Visa, VNPT Money marks a significant step in its journey to promote digital finance and expand cross-border payment capabilities for consumers.

Initially, the feature will support QR code scanning (Scan to Pay), allowing users to make instant payments at Visa QR code acceptance points in Vietnam and many other countries. Modern methods such as tap-to-pay and online payments (eCommerce) will be rolled out from 2026.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Thang, Director of VNPT FinTech Center, emphasized: “We want Vietnamese people, whether traveling, working, or studying abroad, to be able to use their familiar e-wallets to make payments anywhere in the world , safely, transparently, and conveniently. This feature clearly demonstrates VNPT Money's orientation to become a comprehensive digital payment platform, meeting international standards and accompanying the Government in its goal of national digital transformation.”

This new feature is particularly useful for Vietnamese people traveling, working, or studying abroad due to its speed, transparency, and ease of use. Users can make payments at any Visa-accepting location without registration fees, currency conversion fees, surcharges, or annual fees. The exchange rates are clearly and competitively published, making it easier for users to manage their spending.

The launch of the International Transaction feature demonstrates Visa and VNPT Money's strong commitment to expanding access to digital financial services, thereby promoting the digital economy, e-commerce, and international tourism. The new solution also contributes to supporting the national digital transformation roadmap, moving towards a cashless society.

Ms. Dang Tuyet Dung, Director of Visa Vietnam and Laos, said that the cooperation between Visa and VNPT Money helps people from urban to rural areas access and confidently use digital payment solutions, simplifying their daily lives.
