Israeli military officials say artificial intelligence (AI) helps select targets for airstrikes and carry out attacks at an "unprecedented" speed.

According to Bloomberg News (USA) on July 16, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have begun using AI to locate airstrike targets as tensions escalate in the occupied territories and as they respond to their adversary Iran.
While not sharing further details about the specific operations, Israeli officials confirmed that the country is using an AI-powered recommendation system capable of processing massive amounts of data to select targets for airstrikes.
Shortly afterward, Israel could quickly launch attacks thanks to another artificial intelligence model called Fire Factory.
Using data on military-approved targets, this model calculates reloading, prioritizing and identifying thousands of targets for aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and suggests schedules.
According to several sources, the Israeli military has been using these artificial intelligence systems for many years now and is recently significantly expanding the scope of AI applications.
As a “massive digital architecture,” the system is designed to interpret large volumes of UAV and surveillance camera footage, satellite imagery, electronic signals, online communications, and other data used for military purposes.
