On September 17, Korean time, J-Hope took to the fan communication platform Weverse to express his thoughts. He said, "A month, exactly 30 days. Time passes so slowly, but now I'm attached to it. When I clean up, I give used items to my juniors, and looking at the empty closet, I feel more sentimental."
Recalling his time in the army, he added: "Looking back, it's not a big deal, but back then, I was very stressed (meaning the male idol was under pressure when he joined the army - PV). Even the sound of opening the locker made me uncomfortable. Now when I see the new recruits, I feel attached to them and find myself smiling when I remember my past self. I'm proud of my time here. I feel happy about that."
J-Hope humorously said that he is now “a seasoned soldier” and is in a relaxed state to write messages to fans.
J-Hope also said, “I hope for peace in everyone’s family and my heart is fluttering like a dove for happiness this Chuseok (Korean Mid-Autumn Festival).
Although it is a warm Chuseok, I still wish you all a prosperous holiday.”
He ended with a wish: “I hope autumn comes soon. I will see you next month. Until then, take care of yourself and stay healthy.”
J-Hope enlisted as an active duty soldier in April last year and is currently working as an instructor at a recruit training center. He is scheduled to be discharged on October 17, Korean time.
