The Ministry of Education and Training recently sent an official dispatch to universities and pedagogical colleges (hereinafter referred to as universities) regarding the implementation of tasks for the 2024-2025 school year, outlining a series of tasks that universities need to perform. In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training requires schools to thoroughly overcome the problem of unfairness in enrollment in 2025.

In the dispatch, the Ministry of Education and Training requested universities to complete the 2024 enrollment work according to the general plan, ensuring the implementation of the targets and methods announced in the project, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and of the training institution; strictly control risks and promptly handle arising issues, and implement a full and timely reporting regime according to regulations.
At the same time, universities need to complete and promptly announce admission methods from 2025 onwards, thoroughly overcoming the problem of unfairness and lack of trust in admission methods and criteria. Ensure that they are consistent with the 2018 generaleducation program and have a positive impact on teaching and learning activities in general education.
Schools with teacher training majors are required to proactively work with the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities and propose to the direct management agency on assigning training tasks and registering enrollment targets according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training to effectively implement Decree No. 71/2020/ND-CP and Decree No. 116/2020/ND-CP of the Government .
