Train staff from Lao Cai returned belongings left behind by a Taiwanese (Chinese) passenger on the train journey to Hanoi station.
According to train conductor Pham Thanh Hoa of train SP4, the train crew returned the belongings left behind by a Taiwanese passenger on the train journey from Lao Cai station to Hanoi station last night (October 10th). When the train reached the Pho Lu - Cau Nho section, attendant Luong Ngoc Duc, in charge of carriage number 13, discovered a gray wallet that a passenger had left behind while cleaning. Immediately, Mr. Duc contacted conductor Hoa to report the incident.
The crew of train SP4 from Lao Cai to Hanoi returned belongings left behind by a Taiwanese female passenger on the train.
Upon receiving the report, Train Conductor Pham Thanh Hoa and the train's security staff arrived at carriage 13 and proceeded to draw up a report and inventory the belongings. The wallet contained 25 Taiwanese dollars and 44 Vietnamese dong, with a total value of approximately 28 million dong. In addition, there was a passport bearing the name Chei Hui Mei from Taiwan (China). Afterward, Train Conductor Hoa and staff member Duc went through each passenger compartment to find the owner of the wallet. After confirming that it belonged to passenger Chei Hui Mei, the train conductor returned everything in full in the presence of the passengers in the compartment. Ms. Chei Hui Mei was very happy and grateful to receive her belongings and passport back. To meet the increasing demand from tourists visiting Sapa during the rice harvest season, starting from October 17, 2024, the railway will operate an additional SP7 train departing from Hanoi station on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 10:40 PM, arriving at Lao Cai station at 6:25 AM.
