Opening of exhibition series at Presidential Palace Relic Site

On the morning of August 15, at the Presidential Palace Relic Site, the opening ceremony of a series of attractive exhibitions and events took place with many images, artifacts, and books about President Ho Chi Minh.

This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025); 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and 80th anniversary of the day President Ho Chi Minh named General Nguyen Chi Thanh (August 17, 1945 - August 17, 2025).

Six events were organized on this occasion by the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace in coordination with the Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board, Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum, National Archives Center I with the assistance of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department (Ministry of National Defense), the Ministry of Public Security's Standing Office on United Nations Peacekeeping, the People's Army Publishing House and other units.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong affirmed the great contributions and legacies that President Ho Chi Minh left to the Vietnamese people. He led the Vietnamese people to regain freedom and independence.

“President Ho Chi Minh not only left our nation a glorious revolutionary career unprecedented in history, he also left our entire Party and people a noble legacy, which is a shining example of the moral qualities of a revolutionary, symbolizing the most beautiful things in the soul, will, and personality of the nation and humanity... Stories about him have become classics, leaving for future generations not only the image and ideology of a great man but also the mark of one of the most heroic periods in the history of the nation,” emphasized Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong.

The focus of the series of events is the exhibition "Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh - Milestones of national history" jointly organized by the Presidential Palace Relic Site and the Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board, to review the typical milestones in the glorious revolutionary journey of the nation under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, while honoring the ideology, morality and style of the Hero of Vietnamese national liberation and outstanding cultural figure.

With more than 200 images, documents and valuable artifacts, the exhibition consists of 5 parts: Ho Chi Minh - The man who sought the way to save the country (1911-1941); August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1941-1945); Dien Bien Phu Victory (1945-1954); Liberation of the South, reunification of the country (1954-1975); Innovation and international integration (1975 - present).

The exhibition contributes to vividly recreating the journey of building, defending and developing the country under the light of Ho Chi Minh's ideology; fostering patriotism and national pride; affirming faith and arousing the desire to contribute in the era of national development.

At the Additional Gallery of the Relic Site, the thematic exhibition “Journey for Peace” is taking place. This is the result of the coordination between the Presidential Palace Relic Site, the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum, and the support of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department (Ministry of National Defense) and the Ministry of Public Security’s Permanent Office on United Nations Peacekeeping.

The exhibition aims to honor the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh in the struggle for national independence and to protect true peace for the Vietnamese people, while also recognizing Vietnam's proactive and positive role in preserving world peace today.

The exhibition consists of two parts: President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh with their journey to preserve peace for the Vietnamese people; Vietnam participates in preserving world peace.

With more than 80 documents, artifacts and relics, the exhibition vividly recreates the milestones in the journey of struggle for independence, freedom and true peace of the Vietnamese people, initiated and led by President Ho Chi Minh, and inherited by General Nguyen Chi Thanh. At the same time, the exhibition introduces Vietnam's outstanding achievements and marks on the path of international integration, especially emphasizing its increasingly proactive and positive role in the United Nations' peacekeeping activities.

At the exhibition “Continuing the story of peace”, through 80 panels of images and documents, the message of aspiration for peace, national independence and the continuation of noble humanistic values of peace and friendship that President Ho Chi Minh initiated and laid the foundation for was conveyed.

The exhibition consists of two parts: “Friendship and peace for people around the world!” and “Together we continue the story of peace!”, introducing President Ho Chi Minh’s messages for peace through letters, speeches, declarations, and telegrams sent to organizations, heads of state, and people around the world. The exhibition also displays authentic images of Vietnamese soldiers and police officers - the “blue beret soldiers” with the mission of keeping peace at United Nations missions, leaving a deep impression in the hearts of international friends about a Vietnam that actively contributes to building a world of peace, stability, and sustainable development.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee launched two books: “President Ho Chi Minh with General Nguyen Chi Thanh” and “The Governor-General of Indochina in the past and the Presidential Palace today”, introducing the space, history, and architecture of the Governor-General’s Palace in the past, the transformation process, and the special value of the Presidential Palace – where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in the last 15 years of his life (1954–1969).

The highlight of the series of activities is the launch of AR technology experiences associated with the real world - connecting history and modernity through spatial computing technology. The deployment of technology experiences at the Presidential Palace Relic Site not only honors the value of heritage but also affirms the innovative, creative thinking and sense of responsibility in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation to improve the operational efficiency of the unit.

Speaking at the event, Director of the Presidential Palace Relic Site Le Thi Phuong said that the series of activities and events have contributed to spreading the invaluable heritage values at the Presidential Palace Relic Site - a special national relic. Through that, we understand more clearly why President Ho Chi Minh is not only the pride of the nation but also admired and respected by the whole world.

The strength of the Presidential Palace Relic Site lies in the thinking of connection and association, organizing events into a logical flow, creating unique and distinctive highlights. The work of preserving and promoting the value of Uncle Ho's heritage at the Presidential Palace, although quiet, has immense social value and humanistic significance, a source of respect and pride not only for the country but also spreading to many international friends.
