Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Da Nang City Club Tai Chi and Qigong Competition

VHO - The Da Nang City Clubs' Tai Chi and Tai Chi Competition is not only a sporting event, but also a place to spread optimism, positive energy, and the beauty of the "Live happily - live healthily - live usefully" movement in the community, especially among the city's middle-aged and elderly.

On the morning of December 11th, at the Tien Son Sports Complex, the Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Da Nang City Club Tai Chi and Tai Chi Competition.

The event attracted a large number of members from health and wellness clubs in the area, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere for the health and fitness movement in the community.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City and representatives of the Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags to the clubs participating in the tournament.

This year's event is seen as a meaningful gathering for people who love exercise, spreading optimism and a lifestyle of "Living happily - living healthily - living usefully".

At the same time, this is also a practical activity in response to the "National Movement for Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh," thereby demonstrating the city's concern in maintaining and developing a sustainable health-promoting exercise movement, especially among middle-aged and elderly people.

The athletes participating in the competition are 45 years of age or older and are members of health and wellness clubs in the city.

The performances, with their graceful yet decisive movements, soft yet powerful, continue to highlight the unique beauty of Da Nang's Tai Chi movement – ​​serene, healthy, and full of vitality.

The competition was organized to promote the "National Movement for Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh".

At this year's competition, teams will compete in two main categories: The prescribed routine: Seven-movement continuous health-promoting exercise, as popularized by the Vietnam Health-Promoting Exercise Council and the Da Nang City Health-Promoting Exercise Association.

Optional exercises: Exercises using sticks, swords, fans, maces, Tai Chi, or unarmed exercises… according to the list of the Vietnam Health Exercise Council and the Da Nang City Health Exercise Association.

The diversity in competition content gives clubs more opportunities to showcase their strengths, while also providing audiences with rich and engaging performances.

The organizing committee will award medals, certificates, flags, and cash prizes to outstanding teams in two groups, A and B, including: 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize, 2 consolation prizes, and 1 style award in each category.

The 2025 Da Nang City Clubs' Tai Chi and Qigong Competition is organized as a meaningful gathering of people who love exercise, enjoy life, and value a healthy lifestyle.

In addition, the Da Nang City Tai Chi and Qigong Association also awarded additional encouragement prizes from social contributions: 11 prizes for Group A and 5 prizes for Group B, contributing to encouraging the spread of the exercise movement.

The 2025 Da Nang City Club Tai Chi and Fitness Competition will take place over two days, from December 11th to 12th, at the Tien Son Sports Palace (Phan Dang Luu Street, Hoa Cuong Ward).

This continues to be a healthy and beneficial playground, promoting a spirit of sportsmanship and improving the quality of life for the city's residents.
