Opening Ceremony of the 2024 National Golf Championship, VinFast Cup - Hai Phong

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On August 14th, at Vu Yen Golf Course, Vu Yen Island (Hai An District), the 2024 National Golf Championship, VinFast - Hai Phong Cup 2024, officially commenced. Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee, Nguyen Van Tung, attended and teed off to inaugurate the tournament.

Attending the Opening Ceremony of the Tournament were Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the City's Department of Culture and Sports ; and journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper and co-chair of the Organizing Committee.

The 2024 National Golf Championship, VinFast Cup - Hai Phong, will take place from August 14-17, 2024 .

This prestigious tournament, held in Hai Phong city, provides a platform for both amateur and professional golfers to develop the sport and promote golf as a mainstream activity. The tournament also creates opportunities for investment promotion, showcasing the city's image and economic development potential through side events such as conferences and seminars. It promotes real estate projects integrated with golf courses, contributing to increased value in the real estate sector. Furthermore, it fosters the development of tourism and transportation within the city, connecting it with other localities nationwide.

The 2024 National Golf Championship, VinFast - Hai Phong Cup 2024, will feature 150 golfers, including 120 competing in the Men's category and 30 in the Women's category.

Under the close guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the People's Committee of Hai Phong city, relevant departments and agencies, and the Vietnam Golf Association, the National Golf Championship returns to Hai Phong with a new, modern, and professional look.
