Opening of the exhibition "Vietnam's Country, People and Culture" in Laos

The exhibition content conveys images clearly depicting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos over the past 60 years.

On the afternoon of August 25, at the Vietnam Cultural Center in the capital Vientiane, Laos, the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Vietnam's Country, People and Culture" took place.

This event is jointly organized by the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups and the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2023), and the 46th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2023).

Attending the event were representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism , representatives of the Vietnamese community in Vientiane, and a large number of Vietnamese and Lao people living and working in the capital Vientiane.

With over 200 documents, artifacts, images and scientific documents introduced in the thematic exhibition, the Organizing Committee wishes to introduce to visitors to Laos in particular and international friends in general beautiful images of nature, country, people and the unity in diversity of traditional culture of 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam.

In addition, the exhibition also conveys images clearly depicting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos over the past 60 years.

The exhibition content shows that, despite the countless ups and downs of history, the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos has always been preserved and cultivated by the Party, State and people of the two countries, becoming a priceless asset of the two nations and a common development rule of the two countries on the path to developing a prosperous country and a prosperous and happy people.

Lasting for one month (August 25 - September 25), the exhibition "Vietnam's Country, People and Culture" is expected to help people of the two countries, especially the young generation, understand more about Vietnam's land and people, and the special relationship between the two countries, contributing positively to further strengthening the close, trusting relationship, creating a solid foundation for comprehensive and effective cooperation between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos in the new era.
