Opening of the thematic exhibition "Vietnam's Land, People, and Culture" in Laos

The exhibition content conveys images clearly depicting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos over the past 60 years.

On the afternoon of August 25, at the Vietnam Cultural Center in the capital Vientiane, Laos, the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Vietnam's Country, People and Culture" took place.

This is an event jointly organized by the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups and the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2023), and the 46th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2023).

Attending the event were representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism , representatives of the Vietnamese community in Vientiane, and a large number of Vietnamese and Lao people living and working in the capital Vientiane.

With over 200 artifacts, images, and supporting scientific documents presented in the thematic exhibition, the organizers hope to introduce to visitors in Laos in particular, and international friends in general, beautiful images of the nature, land, people, and the unity in diversity of the traditional culture of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups.

In addition, the exhibition also conveys images clearly depicting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos over the past 60 years.

The exhibition shows that, despite countless historical ups and downs, the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos has always been carefully preserved and nurtured by the Party, State, and people of both countries, becoming an invaluable asset of the two nations and a common development principle for both countries on the path to national prosperity and the well-being and happiness of their people.

Lasting for one month (August 25th - September 25th), this thematic exhibition "Vietnam's Land, People, and Culture" is expected to help people of both countries, especially the younger generation, better understand Vietnam and its people, and the special relationship between the two countries. It aims to contribute positively to further strengthening the close, trusting, and enduring relationship, laying a solid foundation for comprehensive and effective cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples in the new era.
