On the afternoon of September 16th, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Vietnam Youth Union of Ha Tinh province jointly organized the Forum on Digital Transformation in Communication and Promotion of OCOP Products by Youth, with the theme "Exploiting the Potential of the Digital Economy in Promoting OCOP Products". In his opening remarks at the forum, Comrade Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee of the Youth Union, affirmed that equipping young people with knowledge and skills to apply digital technology is an urgent requirement in the current period.

Today's forum is an opportunity for stakeholders, businesses, and individuals to exchange ideas on essential topics for developing and marketing agricultural products on digital platforms, shaping mindsets, and exploiting the potential of the digital economy to enhance the effectiveness of promoting OCOP products.
From May 2023 to the present, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has successively organized a series of activities to promote the exploitation of the digital economic potential from local resources in many provinces across the country. Notable examples include activities in Bac Kan, Bac Giang, and Son La provinces. These programs simultaneously deployed multiple livestream channels to promote the province's OCOP (One Commune One Product) products, along with posting short clips from content creators promoting local tourist destinations.

Livestream sessions have received significant attention from the online community and generated very high revenue. For example, a livestream session in Bac Giang province generated over 1.6 billion VND in revenue. This series of activities has yielded many positive results, inspiring numerous individuals and cooperatives.
At the forum, delegates focused on discussing the exploitation of the potential of the digital economy in developing, promoting, and consuming OCOP products; the digital economy from the perspective of e-commerce; and promoting local resources in the digital space. These are important issues and very specific solutions to achieve the goals of innovation in agricultural economic development and sustainable rural construction.

The forum also received many insightful opinions, initiatives, and solutions based on practical implementation from participating delegates, thereby promoting and exploiting the potential of the digital economy in the promotion and marketing of OCOP products in the future.
On this occasion, Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and Chairman of the Central Committee's Inspection Commission, presented a commemorative gift to Ha Tinh province.
The Central Committee of the Youth Union has awarded 1 billion VND in funding to support young people in Ha Tinh province in starting businesses, establishing careers, developing, and promoting OCOP products.
Earlier, from 9 AM to 1 PM on September 16th, many famous faces on the TikTok platform, such as Mai Tu's family, Co Ba Hong Kong, Lien Tit, actor Manh Hung, actor Truong Hoang, Ngo Thanh, etc., simultaneously livestreamed to promote OCOP products from Ha Tinh. In just one session, they attracted 14.8 million views, 300,000 live viewers, and generated 485 million VND in sales revenue. Notable examples included: Y Binh fermented pork sausage (nem chua) selling 600 orders in 10 minutes, and Thu Vien's peanut brittle (cu do thu vien) selling 300 orders… TikTokers also uploaded 15 videos in support of the promotional campaign, with impressive view counts, such as actor Manh Hung's video with 1.2 million views, and Tu Huyen Vlog's video with 1.4 million views… | |
