Main route of Vung Ang - Bung highway to be exploited from August 28

On August 22, the Ministry of Construction announced that the main route of the Vung Ang - Bung expressway will be put into operation from August 28.

Accordingly, vehicles are exploited on a route of about 55.34km long, connecting to the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang Component Project in the North, connecting to the Bung - Van Ninh Component Project in the South, passing through the Tien Chau - Van Hoa intersection and the National Highway 12A intersection.

The rest stop on the route is located at Km594+400 (located on both sides of the highway). The Ministry of Construction selected an investor for the rest stop in March 2025. The investor is currently implementing the construction.

In addition, the Ministry of Construction is also directing Project Management Board 6 to urgently complete the remaining items of the Vung Ang - Bung Component Project, including: the service road system, the intelligent traffic system and other works.

The Vung Ang - Bung section project under the North - South Expressway Construction Project in the East phase 2021 - 2025, with a total investment of VND 12,548 billion, started construction in January 2023 and was inaugurated on August 19.
