The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam ( Ministry of Construction ) said that it is expected that in 2025, Vietnamese aviation will transport about 84 million passengers, much higher than last year's 75 million passengers.

After a period of severe decline due to the pandemic, air transport activities have gradually recovered and grown strongly, contributing to the socio -economic and tourism development of Vietnam.

To date, Vietnam's international flight network has not only been fully restored but also increased from 130 routes (before the COVID-19 pandemic) to 150 routes, connecting with more than 30 countries and territories.

Many direct flights to distant markets such as Europe and North America have been researched by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and new agreements have been signed, creating the premise for future exploitation.

Domestically, the domestic flight network is optimized, operating frequency on main routes increases and airlines continuously open new routes to localities with tourism potential.

Besides the Vietnamese airlines that have previously entered the market ( Vietnam Airlines , Vietjet Air, Pacific Airlines, Bamboo Airways), a bright spot showing the vitality and potential of the Vietnamese aviation market is the birth of two new airlines: VietravelAirlines and SunPhuQuoc Airways.

Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Uong Viet Dung commented: The birth of two new airlines shows the attractiveness of the Vietnamese aviation market. At the same time, it opens up new development opportunities, contributes to diversifying the market, creating healthy competition, encouraging airlines to improve service quality, diversify products and reduce ticket prices to passengers. At the same time, the development of air transport activities will also have a spillover effect, promoting continued investment, developing transport infrastructure and stimulating tourism, contributing to the development of local and regional economies.
