With an exhibition area of ​​over 800m², the Vietnam National Assembly Museum is a place to preserve, conserve and spread the precious values ​​of 80 years of the National Assembly; honoring the contributions of National Assembly leaders through the periods, the sense of responsibility and devotion to the Fatherland and the people of generations of National Assembly deputies.

On the afternoon of December 2, at the National Assembly House, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man - Head of the Steering Committee for the 80th Anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam attended the opening ceremony of the Vietnam National Assembly Museum; announced books, publications and issued a set of postage stamps commemorating the 80th anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam (1946-2026).

Attending the ceremony were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung; Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien, Head of the Organizing Committee for the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly.

Also attending were representatives of the National Assembly Party Committee; members of the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee for the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, central ministries and branches; representatives of the National Assembly delegations of provinces and cities; leaders of the National Assembly Office...

Speaking at the event, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that this is an important event, helping the public understand more deeply the history of formation, development, position and role of the National Assembly in the development history of the Vietnamese nation.

The National Assembly Chairman acknowledged and commended the efforts, sense of responsibility and great contributions of agencies, units, scientists, experts and staff and civil servants who directly participated, closely coordinated, digitized artifacts, images and collected artifacts and documents for display.

The National Assembly Chairman stated that the books published today are the result of a meticulous and careful research, collection and compilation process by the National Assembly agencies, the National Assembly Office, scientists and experts; providing valuable scientific and historical sources on the organization, activities and important achievements of the National Assembly in the cause of protecting, building, developing the country and integrating internationally.

The postage stamp set commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly has profound meaning. Through the delicately depicted symbolic images with high artistic value, each stamp becomes a miniature work, contributing to spreading the image of the innovative, professional and modern Vietnamese National Assembly.

"In particular, the National Assembly Museum is a meaningful project, contributing to completing the comprehensive picture of the 80-year history of the National Assembly. From the History Room - Museum (1999), to the National Assembly Tradition Room (2014) and now the National Assembly Museum, this is the place to preserve, conserve and spread the precious values ​​of 80 years of the National Assembly; honoring the contributions of the National Assembly leaders through the periods, the sense of responsibility and devotion to the Fatherland and the people of generations of National Assembly deputies", the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.

The National Assembly Chairman also said that over the past year, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Party Committee, and agencies have organized many meaningful activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly, such as: Compiling and publishing the book "General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with the National Assembly and the building and perfection of the Socialist Rule of Law State of Vietnam"; organizing a campaign to compose songs about the National Assembly and People's Councils; the program "Returning to the source - Towards the future" in Tuyen Quang province and inaugurating the Memorial House of President Ton Duc Thang, offering incense at the historical relic site in An Giang province; organizing meetings with generations of National Assembly deputies in the locality.

In particular, it organized a meeting of General Secretary To Lam with more than 2,000 delegates in attendance; organized a National Scientific Conference "Vietnam National Assembly - 80 years of formation and development"; inaugurated the Memorial Site of the Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee Bui Bang Doan, on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of his birth; organized the political art program "Glory of Vietnam National Assembly" and organized a contest to learn about the National Assembly...

In order for the Vietnam National Assembly Museum to be effective, the National Assembly Chairman requested that agencies and comrades assigned to manage and operate the museum promote professionalism, modernity and creativity in their activities; proactively research, collect and supplement valuable documents and artifacts; apply modern technology and digital transformation; build a digital database of documents and artifacts; research and edit displays, creating optimal technical and artistic spaces.

Strengthen cooperation with the National Assembly agencies, relevant agencies, museums and domestic and international organizations to build the Vietnam National Assembly Museum into a knowledge storage center. The National Assembly Chairman hopes that the National Assembly agencies and National Assembly deputies will contribute and donate artifacts to enrich the archives, contributing to the building of an increasingly perfect Museum.

Along with that, it is necessary to build a team of museum staff and guides with political courage, professional qualifications, professional skills and good foreign language ability; gradually apply artificial intelligence in explanations and guidance to increase attractiveness. Promote propaganda so that more people know about the Vietnam National Assembly Museum, becoming an "attractive address" contributing to political and ideological education, especially for the younger generation, in learning about the history of the National Assembly.

Reporting at the ceremony, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh said that the Vietnam National Assembly Museum has an exhibition area of ​​over 800 square meters, introducing nearly 1,000 images, documents and 250 typical artifacts such as the Constitution collection, badges of National Assembly deputies of all terms, seals of the National Assembly Standing Committee; red flag with yellow star hung at the Tan Trao National Congress in 1945, ballot boxes for the election of National Assembly deputies of the first term in 1946, the light sculpture "The Power of the People's Heart" donated by artisan Bui Van Tu...

"The Vietnam National Assembly Museum is a 'memory bank' that preserves precious spiritual values, reflecting the 80-year journey of overcoming difficulties and constant innovation, affirming that the National Assembly is the highest representative body of the People, the highest state power body of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam," emphasized the Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office.

Regarding the publication of books and publications commemorating the 80th anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam, the Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the Office of the National Assembly said that the book "Vietnam National Assembly: 80 years of construction, innovation and development" was compiled by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man as Head of the Steering Committee; based on a special ministerial-level scientific project chaired by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh. The book has a capacity of 1,100 pages, consisting of 9 chapters, with the participation of the Ethnic Council, National Assembly Committees, the Science Council of the National Assembly Standing Committee and many prestigious scientists and experts, vividly and comprehensively reflecting the history of formation, organization and operation of the National Assembly of Vietnam over the past 80 years and 15 National Assembly terms.

The book "History of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Volume V (2011-2025)" was compiled under the direct direction of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, with a capacity of 800 pages, consisting of 3 chapters; in which, it focuses on systematically introducing the development process, outstanding achievements and great contributions of the National Assembly of the 13th, 14th and 15th terms to the cause of national construction and development. This is an important document, summarizing profound practices, drawing valuable lessons on organizational innovation and methods of operation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the National Assembly's operations in our country's political system.

The book "50 years of relations between the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic - Cooperation and Development" was compiled by Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Vu Hai Ha on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Lao National Assembly. With a length of 300 pages, including 3 chapters, the book summarizes the practical development process of relations between the two National Assemblies and the contributions to the Vietnam-Laos relationship; on that basis, lessons are drawn to improve the quality and effectiveness of cooperation between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Lao National Assembly in the new period.

The bilingual photo book "80 years of the Vietnamese National Assembly (1946-2026)" chaired by the National Assembly Office, in coordination with the Vietnam News Agency, includes 900 images and documents, divided into 4 parts, carefully assessed, compared and verified by the Advisory Council and experts, ensuring authenticity, political and historical value; thereby, vividly reflecting the formation and development process of 15 National Assembly terms, associated with important milestones of the country.

Regarding the set of postage stamps commemorating the 80th anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam, this is the first time that the Office of the National Assembly has coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology to issue a special set of postage stamps commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026). The stamps have a tight layout, meticulous design, graphic style, strong, cheerful colors, and high expressiveness to deeply demonstrate the position and role of the National Assembly and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; at the same time, depict the joy of the people participating in the election, demonstrating the rights and responsibilities of voters towards the cause of building, developing and innovating the country.

The Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the Office of the National Assembly stated that after the opening ceremony, the Office of the National Assembly will continue to innovate the exhibition work, strengthen the conditions to ensure the operation of the Museum, build and innovate the operation and sightseeing work... so that the Vietnam National Assembly Museum can truly become an educational and inspirational space, becoming one of the bridges for the public, the young generation and international friends to pay attention and better understand the Vietnam National Assembly in the historical process of the nation.

At the same time, promote books, publications, and stamp sets, contributing to affirming the glorious 80-year journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly - a vivid testament to the spirit of innovation, creativity, responsibility, aspiration to rise up, and determination to build the Vietnamese National Assembly to operate more and more effectively and efficiently, worthy of the country's development in the new era.
