On the morning of March 6th, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan inspected and issued directives to resolve difficulties and obstacles in two key transportation projects: the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection overpass construction project; and the Xuan Dieu road upgrading and renovation project.
Reporting to the inspection team, Pham Van Duan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi City Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation Projects, stated that to accelerate the project's progress, the Board had held a meeting to agree on an implementation plan. Contractors are coordinating simultaneous construction; at the same time, multiple teams are being organized to shorten the construction time for the reinforced concrete embankment retaining wall, aiming for completion before June 30th.
However, the construction unit is still facing some difficulties affecting the project's progress, especially the construction of the 110KV Tay Ho - Yen Phu underground cable line project, which is invested by Hanoi Electricity Corporation.
Regarding the Xuân Diệu road upgrade project in Quảng An ward, Mr. Nguyễn Đình Khuyến, Chairman of the Tây Hồ District People's Committee, stated: “Currently, the project's construction work has been basically completed and the road is technically open. The district is directing contractors to urgently complete the paving, road marking, tree planting, and traffic signs on the section from 51 Xuân Diệu to Nghi Tàm.”
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuyen, there are still 11 cases where land has not been handed over for the project. The Tay Ho District People's Committee is actively working to persuade these households to hand over the land. If persuasion fails, a plan for forced eviction will be implemented. The forced land reclamation is expected to be completed before July 2024.
During the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan highly appreciated the efforts and endeavors of the project owners and construction contractors.
Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan emphasized: "These are all important projects aimed at synchronizing infrastructure, reducing traffic congestion, serving people's travel conveniently and safely, and forming the foundation for socio-economic development. However, there are still many reasons why these projects have not achieved the expected progress."
Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Duong Duc Tuan, requested that relevant departments and agencies coordinate closely and regularly exchange information to accelerate the progress of the two investment and construction projects: the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection overpass and the Xuan Dieu road upgrade and renovation project. Any difficulties that arise must be reported immediately so that solutions can be found promptly.
Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Duong Duc Tuan, requested that in the coming period, the project owners and construction contractors must make greater efforts, focus on mobilizing machinery and personnel, overcome difficulties and obstacles to ensure that key transportation projects are completed as soon as possible.
