Speaking at the Global Mobility India Expo at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition and Convention Centre in New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi affirmed: "India will definitely become the third largest economy in the world in our third term," PTI news agency reported.

According to the leader, in the last 10 years, "around 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty thanks to the government 's efforts. India today is moving forward with the goal of making the country a 'developed' nation by 2047. The mobility sector will play a huge role in achieving this goal."

“I always say this is the right time. This mantra is relevant for mobility. India is on the moon and moving fast. This is the beginning of a golden era for mobility. Today, the country’s economy is expanding rapidly,” he stressed.

Prime Minister Modi added that in India “a new middle class has emerged with its own aspirations and hopes. The income and income threshold of the middle class has expanded. These factors will ensure new heights in the field of mobility”.

Before 2014, there were 120 million cars sold in India, but after this year, there were more than 210 million cars sold.

The India Mobility Global Expo 2024 showcases New Delhi's capabilities in this area.

The fair will feature exhibitions, conferences, meetings between buyers and sellers, state sessions, road safety booths and even public-centric attractions such as go-kart racing.
