But today, his future is again on the line, with Barcelona emerging as a potential destination.

Gaizka Mendieta, a former Barca player, believes Fernandes is suited to La Liga and will be welcomed by Camp Nou. According to him, age is not an obstacle, as Gundogan's case has proven that stars in their 30s can still shine.
