'Without musician Huy Tuan, I wouldn't be here today'

The Vietnam Idol 2023 final has just taken place with the participation of the Top 5 finalists. After the competition rounds, Ha An Huy became the champion.

Notably, the final night also featured a guest appearance by male singer Son Tung M-TP. This marked Son Tung M-TP's first return to the Vietnam Idol stage since his performance in 2013.

Appearing on stage with a handsome look, Son Tung M-TP caused thousands of audience members to cheer non-stop. He surprised everyone with his unusual ponytail hairstyle.

Sơn Tùng M-TP returns to Vietnam Idol after 10 years.

Instead of performing new songs, the male singer chose "Em của ngày hôm qua" (You of Yesterday) to dedicate to the audience. This song marked a turning point in Sơn Tùng M-TP's music career, making him a leading male singer in Vietnamese showbiz at the present time. It was on the Vietnam Idol 2013 stage that the singer first performed this song to introduce himself to the audience.

Sharing his thoughts on his return to Vietnam Idol, Son Tung M-TP said: "I feel very emotional and want to express my most sincere gratitude to the program for giving me the opportunity to stand on this stage today. I get to relive the moment I had with Vietnam Idol exactly 10 years ago with this very song. I am very grateful for everything I have had and am having, and especially thank the audience very much."

At this moment, I also want to express my sincere gratitude to musician Huy Tuan. He is my first mentor and teacher in life. Without Huy Tuan, there certainly wouldn't be the Son Tung M-TP of today."

The male singer performed a cover of the song "You of Yesterday".

In addition, he also sent heartfelt advice to all the Vietnam Idol contestants: "Winning against yourself is the most important thing."

The male singer hopes that the contestants in the program will gain more motivation and inspiration to develop their musical careers in the future.
