Mr. Steve Wolstenholme, Chairman and CEO of Hoiana (Duy Xuyen), said that to ensure the safety of people in the event of Typhoon Tra Mi making landfall, this morning, October 26th, the unit quickly coordinated with local authorities to develop a response plan and provide accommodation for people in dangerous areas.
Specifically, Hoiana has arranged 100 rooms with all the necessary amenities such as blankets, clean water, daily meals, and private bathrooms, which can immediately accommodate approximately 400 people from the affected area to evacuate and take shelter from the storm.
“The safety of our residents is always Hoiana’s top priority. We always welcome everyone seeking shelter from the storm with the utmost care and dedication. Hoiana will do everything possible to ensure that residents feel safe and comfortable if they have to evacuate,” said Steve Wolstenholme.
Since its opening, Hoiana has always prioritized and partnered with the local community in welfare work, especially in disaster prevention and flood control. Previously, in 2022, the resort welcomed nearly 200 people seeking refuge from Typhoon Noru. In 2023, Hoiana provided nearly 300 million VND to dredge and clear canals and install additional drainage pipes in Tay Son Dong and Tay Son Tay villages, contributing to improving the quality of life for 650 households in the area.
