Hoiana reserves more than 100 rooms for locals to stay to avoid storm No. 12

DNO - On October 22, Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited said it had prepared more than 100 rooms at the employee village of Hoiana Complex (Duy Nghia commune) to support local people in coping with storm No. 12 (Fengshen).

Over 100 rooms, fully equipped with amenities such as blankets, mattresses, clean water, and private toilets, are available to accommodate local residents seeking shelter from the storm if needed.

At the same time, the resort provided free daily meals for the evacuated residents, ensuring basic living conditions throughout the storm.

According to a representative of the Hoiana Complex, the unit proactively sent letters to local authorities and closely coordinated with the People's Committees of Duy Nghia and Thang An communes to review and compile a list of people in need of evacuation; organizing reception, arranging accommodation, and providing support to people in the safest, most timely, and effective way.

Not only during Typhoon Fengshen this time, but also during Typhoon Noru in 2022 and Typhoon Trami in 2024, Hoiana opened its doors to people seeking shelter, providing them with food, clean water, and essential supplies.

Simultaneously, the company also implements many long-term disaster prevention and mitigation activities, including: dredging and clearing canals, installing additional drainage pipes in flood-prone areas, contributing to minimizing damage caused by storms and improving the living environment for people around the project.
