From the evening of December 4 to this morning, December 5, functional forces and authorities of communes and wards of Lam Dong province such as Ham Thang, Hong Son, and Song Luy continued to organize blockades on many sections of National Highway 1 due to severe flooding.

At the northern roundabout, National Highway 1 through Ham Thang ward, authorities blocked and prohibited vehicles from passing because floodwaters continued to rise.

According to records, National Highway 1 through Ben Loi Bridge (Ham Thang Ward) has 2 flooded points, the deepest section is nearly 1 meter deep, vehicles cannot move. The authorities have guided vehicles to move through Road 706B (Vo Nguyen Giap Street) to circulate.

As for the section of National Highway 1 through Hong Son commune (Gop intersection), floodwaters have risen from December 4 until now (10:00 a.m. December 5), causing the area to be deeply flooded, and vehicles must also move through the coastal bypass.

Similarly, floodwater from upstream poured onto National Highway 1 through Song Luy commune, causing local flooding.

To ensure traffic on National Highway 1 through Lam Dong province, authorities recommend that when vehicles travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Khanh Hoa , when reaching the northern roundabout (Ham Thang ward), they should follow Ton Duc Thang street, turn onto Tran Hung Dao street and then onto Mui Ne coastal road to avoid flooding.
