Lam Dong Province authorities have issued a notice prohibiting people and vehicles from passing through the new landslide site on Prenn Pass Road, Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat, starting from 1 p.m. on December 4, until further notice.

On the afternoon of December 4, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province issued a notice on traffic diversion and organization on Prenn Pass (section Km224+600-Km224+700) to serve the work of overcoming landslides on the slope and cutting down trees at risk of falling, causing traffic insecurity.

According to the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, due to the impact of heavy rain from December 2 to 4, on the Prenn pass road, section Km224+600-Km224+700, in Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat, a landslide occurred on the slope of the slope, burying rocks and soil on the road surface, causing traffic congestion.

At the same time, cracks appeared on the slope, destabilizing the slope, causing some pine trees on top of the slope to fall, posing a potential danger to vehicles traveling on the route.

Currently, the Department of Construction is coordinating with local authorities and relevant units to deploy a plan to handle the scene and organize the cutting down of trees at risk of falling.

To ensure traffic safety on the route and serve the work of handling the scene, the Department of Construction announced the organization of traffic diversion on Prenn Pass, specifically: prohibiting people and vehicles from circulating through the new landslide location, the diversion time starts from 13:00 on December 4 until further notice.

Traffic direction for vehicles entering and leaving Da Lat, in 3 directions as follows: Mimosa Pass: All types of vehicles are allowed to travel in two directions, starting normal traffic from 3:30 p.m. on December 4.

Sacom Tuyen Lam Pass: All vehicles (except trucks) from Lien Khuong highway turn left onto Sacom Tuyen Lam, to the center of Da Lat and vice versa.

Ta Nung Pass (DT.725): All types of vehicles are allowed to travel in two directions towards Ta Nung Pass.

As reported by Nhan Dan Newspaper, at noon on December 4, on the Prenn Pass road, an important gateway to the administrative-political center of Lam Dong province, a landslide occurred on the positive slope, causing traffic congestion.

Functional units handle the landslide scene so that traffic on Prenn Pass can soon return to normal.

According to initial assessment, with the new landslide volume on Prenn Pass, authorities will urgently fix it to restore normal traffic on the afternoon of December 4.

However, after inspecting the scene, cracks appeared on the slope, potentially causing the pine tree to fall and endangering vehicles traveling on the route. Therefore, the authorities announced a temporary suspension of traffic through this new landslide location.
