On December 11th, at the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department, the Provincial Cybersecurity Subcommittee inaugurated the program "Training and practical exercises to ensure cybersecurity and information security in Lam Dong province in 2025".
The event was attended by leaders of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments and agencies; cybersecurity experts; and more than 190 members of emergency response and defense teams in Lam Dong province.
In his opening remarks, Colonel Huynh Ngoc Liem, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Police, stated that this training and exercise program aims to concretize the major policies of the Party and Government on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, and ensuring cybersecurity and information safety in the process of building a digital government, digital economy , and digital society.

Colonel Huynh Ngoc Liem informed that the program was organized in a practical manner, closely aligned with the actual operation of the province's information systems. A highlight was the live-fire attack and defense exercise on a real information system, conducted while the province's systems were still operating normally. This was an opportunity for the province's technical staff to hone their skills in handling real-world situations and improve their ability to coordinate incident response in the context of increasingly sophisticated and unpredictable cyberattacks .

Prior to the opening ceremony, the rescue and defense teams participated in live-fire exercises on a real system, which took place from December 8th to 10th. These exercises in a real environment helped assess their detection and response capabilities and refine inter-agency coordination procedures in handling incidents .
At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive efforts of the Provincial Cybersecurity Subcommittee, with the Provincial Police as its core, in advising and developing the 2025 training and exercise program with a bold, substantive, and practical approach.

The comrade emphasized that cybersecurity is a long-term, continuous task with no end point. Organizing attack and defense drills on real information systems, while the province's systems are still operating normally, is a very new and difficult but necessary approach. It demonstrates a willingness to confront existing shortcomings and test real capabilities, thereby helping the province accurately identify weaknesses in technology, processes, and personnel so that timely corrective action and improvement can be achieved.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, 19 defense teams entered the CTF (Capture the Flag) competition. This was the central event of the first day of the training and exercise program.
On December 12th, the program continued with key content, such as answering questions and analyzing the results of the CTF exercise; training on ensuring information system security at different levels; training on awareness of cybersecurity, information security , and protecting state secrets in cyberspace… with more than 2,000 delegates participating in person and online.

The 2025 training and practical exercise program on cybersecurity and information security in Lam Dong province is not just a "technical competition," but also a strong message affirming the determination of the entire political system to maintain cybersecurity, protect the data of the government and citizens, and contribute to building Lam Dong into a safe and reliable locality in the national digital transformation process.
