Following the merger, Tan Minh commune in Lam Dong province has a total natural area of 223.76 km2 and a population of 21,493 people. With a "green" development orientation, the commune effectively mobilizes resources and efficiently exploits the local potential and advantages to promote socio-economic development while protecting the environment.

Taking off in the future

According to the People's Committee of Tan Minh commune, the total cultivated area in 2025 is estimated at 11,042 hectares, meeting and exceeding the annual plan. Of this, annual crops account for 6,550 hectares; perennial crops currently occupy 4,492 hectares, reaching 107% of the plan, with 125 hectares of newly planted crops and 4,070 hectares of crops producing crops.

Thanks to coordination with various units, according to the People's Committee of Tan Minh commune, the locality is urgently completing key local projects such as the road from Tan Minh to Son My, the North-South high-speed railway, and the additional access road to the Phan Thiet-Dau Day expressway, all of which are currently undergoing compensation, support, and land clearance. Recently, the commune completed land clearance work for the Tan Duc Industrial Park, which is expected to be operational on December 19th.

The highway passes through the commune's territory.

Mr. Tran Cong Truong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Minh Commune, said that Tan Duc Industrial Park, with a scale of 300 hectares, is located on National Highway 1 and has a convenient transportation location, being about 3km from the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay Expressway and only 75-110km from international airports and deep-water ports in the region. This will help businesses transport goods conveniently and save on logistics costs, making it an attractive investment destination that meets the sustainable development strategy of investors.

With these efforts and its strategic location at the gateway to the Southeast region, Tan Duc Industrial Park will create effective links with other industrial parks in the surrounding area.

Mr. Do Quoc Bao, Deputy General Director of Sonadezi Binh Thuan Joint Stock Company (Investor of Tan Duc Industrial Park), said that as of November 2025, Tan Duc Industrial Park had successfully attracted 11 domestic and FDI enterprises from Japan and China with a preliminary total investment of approximately VND 1,000 billion and USD 18 million, and a leased land area of about 60 hectares. Currently, these enterprises have been granted investment registration certificates.

In addition, Tan Duc Industrial Park is planned in a comprehensive and modern manner according to the green industrial park model, aiming to be environmentally friendly and helping businesses invest and develop projects successfully.

Currently, the water pumping station has a capacity of over 11,000 /day, the industrial park covers 209 hectares, warehouses 1.51 hectares, green spaces and water bodies 45.47 hectares, technical areas 6.66 hectares, and transportation infrastructure 33.56 hectares. The wastewater treatment plant has a total capacity of 7,000 /day. The multi-sector industrial park attracts industries that utilize modern technology to thoroughly treat waste, preventing environmental pollution.

For the high-speed railway project on the north-south axis passing through the commune for approximately 16km, about 141 households will be affected. It is planned to relocate these affected households to a resettlement area in the concentrated residential area of Hamlet 13. After the relocation, Tan Minh commune has met 12 out of 19 criteria for new rural development. The remaining unmet criteria include: planning, transportation, schools, cultural facilities, trained labor, environment and food safety, political system and access to law.

Focus on completing key projects.

Despite the difficulties encountered in merging the two levels of local government, the commune has maintained its development, achieving many positive results and meeting or exceeding 13 out of 13 key targets.

Specifically, agricultural production remained stable, with the planted area of various crops exceeding the plan; infrastructure for the Tan Duc industrial park was developed to attract investors; many infrastructure systems were completed; and budget revenue exceeded the forecast…

The commune focuses on developing a green economy.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Cong Truong commune said that in 2026, the commune will shift its mindset from traditional agricultural production to the application of high technology , ecological farming, organic farming, and circular agriculture; linking production with processing, preservation, and consumption of agricultural products.

In addition, the plans will promote the development of rural service and trade sectors, especially services related to agriculture and logistics services serving industrial zones.

Furthermore, the commune prioritizes businesses that leverage the advantages of the expressway, national highway, and Tan Minh-Son My road to establish rest stops, OCOP product stores, and modern retail outlets. This will provide stable employment for people both within and outside the locality, contributing to socio-economic development.

To promote local development, Mr. Tran Cong Truong stated that the commune continues to address difficulties and obstacles, accelerating the progress of compensation and land clearance for key projects such as: the high-speed railway on the north-south axis section passing through the commune, the Tan Minh-Son My road project, the social housing project in Tan Duc industrial park, the planning of the commune's administrative center, Tan Duc industrial park phase 2, Suoi Gieng industrial park, Tan Phuc 1,2 industrial parks; Tan Minh 1,2 industrial parks with a total industrial park area of 2,932 hectares.
