Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane emphasized that the relationship between Vietnam and Laos is at its best.


On February 13, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane - Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos - who is on an official visit to Vietnam.

General Secretary To Lam assessed that the official visit of Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane was of great significance, an opportunity for the two sides to exchange and best prepare for the visits of the two countries' senior leaders in the coming time, further deepening the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general and the close cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs in particular.

The Vietnamese leaders expressed their delight at the increasingly strong development of the Vietnam-Laos relationship in all fields, bringing practical benefits to the people of each country; affirmed that Vietnam will forever preserve and nurture this great relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Laos, making it increasingly deep, practical and effective in all fields.

Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane stressed that the relationship between the two countries is at its best. Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane affirmed that Laos will closely coordinate with Vietnam to best implement high-level agreements between the two countries, especially the agreement between the two Politburoes and the memorandum of understanding of the 47th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee to bring practical benefits to the people of Laos and Vietnam.
