Further deepening the special solidarity between Vietnam and China

Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane emphasized that the Vietnam-Laos relationship is at its best.

On February 13, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane - Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos - who is on an official visit to Vietnam.

General Secretary To Lam assessed that the official visit of Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane was of utmost importance, as it was an opportunity for the two sides to exchange and make the best preparations for the upcoming visits of high-ranking leaders of the two countries, further deepening the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in general and the close cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs in particular.

Vietnamese leaders expressed their delight at the increasingly strong development of Vietnam-Laos relations in all fields, bringing practical benefits to the people of each country; affirmed that Vietnam will work with Laos to forever preserve and foster this great relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation, to increasingly deepen, be practical and effective in all fields.

Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane stressed that the relationship between the two countries is at its best. Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane affirmed that Laos will closely coordinate with Vietnam to best implement high-level agreements between the two countries, especially the agreement between the two Politburoes and the memorandum of understanding of the 47th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee to bring practical benefits to the people of Laos and Vietnam.
