Ms. Lu Thi Anh Thu, Head of the Propaganda - Legal Policy Department, Provincial Women's Union, emphasized: The 2025 Action Month takes place in the context of strong digital transformation , opening up many opportunities but also posing many potential risks for women and children, such as violence, cyber harassment, information disclosure or limited digital skills. This year's theme calls for the whole society to join hands to narrow the gender gap in accessing technology, improving digital skills and ensuring safety in the online environment.
At the conference, Mr. Pham Van Chuot, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of U Minh Commune, said that the locality has organized 21 communication sessions on preventing and combating gender-based violence; integrated the content of "gender equality in the digital age" into people's meetings and on social networks; coordinated training on safe digital skills, identifying and preventing fraud and cyber abuse; and strengthened education on safe Internet use in schools. The "Trusted Address" models in hamlets operate effectively; domestic violence has decreased year by year; the rate of women participating in digital transformation has increased.
Delegates raised orange hearts to show their commitment to accompany and demonstrate their determination to join hands in building a civilized society without violence against women and girls.
