(PLVN) - Coming to the ancient capital of Hue, in addition to the famous historical sites, "Hue Incense Village" in Thuy Xuan ward is an attractive destination that always attracts tourists.

More than 7 km southwest of Hue city center, the famous incense village of the ancient capital is located on Huyen Tran Cong Chua street, right on the tourist route of Vong Canh hill and Tu Duc tomb. According to many elderly people in the village, the profession was formed during the Nguyen dynasty, initially serving the worshiping needs of the royal court and the people. Over hundreds of years, the village has supplied incense to the entire large central region.

In recent years, as the number of tourists has increased steadily throughout the year, households in the village have set up facilities to demonstrate their craft, display and promote their products, turning the incense making profession into an interesting tourist experience. Thanks to its beautiful appearance and deep, pleasant aroma, Thuy Xuan incense products are very popular in worship activities, spiritual rituals, and are gradually also used for therapy, relaxation, feng shui decoration, etc.

Currently, Thuy Xuan incense village has about 50 households still maintaining the profession, of which 20 households combine tourism. Thuy Xuan agarwood is produced without toxic chemicals, is safe and has a characteristic scent that lasts a long time.
