For the first time, the People's Committee at the commune level received a rare wild animal specimen.

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of August 20th, Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan, Head of the City Forestry Department, announced that the Department of Urban Economy and Infrastructure, Thuy Xuan Ward People's Committee, had just received a white pheasant, belonging to Group IIB, handed over by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Loc, a resident of Thuy Xuan Ward. This is the first time that the commune-level government, under the two-tiered local government model, has directly received a rare forest animal.

Shortly afterwards, the Department of Urban Economy and Infrastructure, the People's Committee of Thuy Xuan Ward, in coordination with the City Forest Protection Department, handed over the white pheasant to the Wildlife Rescue, Conservation and Development Center of Bach Ma National Park for nurturing, care, and release back into its natural environment.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Loc's actions demonstrate the sense of responsibility of citizens in protecting wildlife, biodiversity, and preserving rare genetic resources; contributing to raising community awareness in jointly conserving nature and protecting endangered, rare, and precious animal species in the city.
