Quang Tri province leaders use coffee to get closer to businesses

On September 8, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan - Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Quang Tri province - confirmed that the province has just approved a plan to implement the "business cafe" model. Accordingly, provincial leaders will have coffee with new businesses every week to listen and connect.

Accordingly, the coffee appointment will be fixed on Tuesday mornings every week, at a coffee shop near the provincial People's Committee headquarters. The participants will be organized in rotation each week with about 15 - 20 businesses according to the invitation of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion.

Provincial leaders and leaders of departments and branches will take turns attending each topic, such as finance, investment, agriculture , and tourism, so that the two sides can meet and discuss related issues in the most open spirit.

Quang Tri province also considers "business coffee" a public activity, held during office hours every Tuesday, and the province will allocate funds to carry it out.

The first business coffee session is expected to be held in the second half of September.

"We do not expect this coffee meeting to directly solve the problems that businesses are concerned about. But certainly, both sides will be more open and closer when sharing the problem. So that when the problem is brought up in meetings, provincial leaders will have more multi-dimensional perspectives to solve it.

In addition, this is also a place where businesses can give advice and suggestions to provincial leaders to solve arising socio-economic problems," said Mr. Tan.
