At 1:00 AM on February 8th, a Tan Kim Chi passenger bus, with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate, was traveling on National Highway 1, heading north-south. Upon reaching the Nai Pass area in Xuan Thinh commune, Song Cau town ( Phu Yen province), the bus crashed into the median strip and overturned, blocking part of the road. At the time, there was light rain and the road was slippery.
At the scene, the car was severely damaged, with shattered windows, and many people inside were screaming for help and panicking. Three people died, including a 34-year-old woman.

A representative from Tan Kim Chi bus company stated that the vehicle involved in the accident was operating on the Da Nang - Da Lat (Lam Dong) route. The bus company is coordinating with authorities to assist in transporting the injured victims to the hospital. Regarding the number of passengers on board, the company is currently reviewing the records as many people canceled their bookings.
Mr. Lam Duy Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Song Cau town, said that 8 victims with multiple injuries are being treated at Binh Dinh Provincial General Hospital; 8 people are being treated at the Song Cau Town Medical Center (Phu Yen), and 11 passengers with minor injuries went to medical facilities in Binh Dinh for check-ups.
The police force organized the transportation of the injured to the hospital, examined the scene, measured the driver's blood alcohol level, and investigated the cause of the accident.
