Colorful Dong Hoi Street Festival

The 2024 Street Festival is part of the series of activities of Dong Hoi Culture - Tourism Week and is the event to kick off the 2024 Quang Binh tourism season.

At the Festival, 450 artists, models, dancers... in impressive and colorful costumes participated in performances and parades at 3 points which are the most beautiful streets in the center of Dong Hoi city including: Hung Vuong, Quach Xuan Ky and Nguyen Du streets.

The parade passed through landmarks such as: Quang Binh Museum, Ho Chi Minh Square, Suot Mother Monument... The group gathered and performed unique and impressive performances at the Nhat Le 1 bridge intersection. After that, the group continued to march through Nhat Le 1 bridge and the final stop was Bao Ninh Sea Square with attractive and vibrant performances, leaving many impressions on the people and tourists.

With a colorful and vibrant space of sounds, the 2024 Dong Hoi Street Festival attracted a large number of people and tourists to watch and join the parade. On the roads the group passed, people and tourists had the opportunity to admire the scenic spots and poetic beauty of the young city of Dong Hoi on the Nhat Le River.

This is the 7th year Dong Hoi city has organized a Street Festival on the occasion of the anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024) and International Labor Day (May 1). Not only aiming to celebrate the major national holidays, this is also the event that kicks off a new local tourism season in 2024 and especially towards the 20th anniversary of the founding of Dong Hoi city (August 16, 2004 - August 16, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of Dong Hoi Liberation (August 18, 1954 - August 18, 2024).

Dong Hoi Culture - Tourism Week 2024 is held from April 25 to May 1, including many attractive activities such as: culinary festival of regional specialties and seafood; festival program of clubs, teams, groups; traditional folk games of Bai Choi festival; street music festival; Cheo Can and Bong dance festival...

Dong Hoi Culture - Tourism Week is an annual activity, a unique cultural and tourism product, creating a distinct brand, meaningful to the tourism activities of Dong Hoi city in particular and Quang Binh province in general. Thereby, contributing to promoting and introducing the traditional cultural characteristics of Dong Hoi people, achievements in all areas of social life and the potentials and strengths of the city to domestic and foreign tourists.
