On December 4, Hanoi Radio and Television introduced to the audience the TV series "Sweet Fertile Soil" with 55 episodes, broadcast at 8:00 p.m. daily on channel H2.
Drawing inspiration from riverside life, “Sweet Alluvium” brings audiences to the Ben hamlet community - where life is nurtured by the ups and downs and aspirations of people attached to the Red River.
According to Mr. Nguyen Kim Khiem, General Director and Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio, the film is part of communication and propaganda activities to disseminate and raise public and social awareness about the planning of Hanoi Capital for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, especially the Red River Landscape Avenue Axis - a project with momentum for the new development stage - a symbol of the Capital in the new era.
Not only does it recreate the simple rhythm of life with a storytelling style that touches emotions in very familiar situations, the film's cinematic scenes convey the existing and potential beauty of a land, helping viewers clearly feel the strategic vision of the City in moving towards harmonious development between urban and nature, both improving the environment and reviving the cultural and historical values associated with the legendary Red River.
Belonging to the psychological-family genre, the film depicts the lives of riverside residents but also conveys their resilient spirit, desire for change, and dreams of rising up.

The context is exploited realistically: From the old town to the riverside working-class neighborhoods - where traditional culture blends with modern urban life. When Hanoi plans to take the Red River as an important development axis in the new period, the changes of the city are clearly reflected in the daily life of the riverside community. The wild banks are gradually taking on a new look - urban areas, ecological areas, and modern civilized landscapes opening up livelihood opportunities for the people.
And in that shift, the film reflects the change between past and present, where people both preserve the memory of the river and step across the threshold of a rapidly changing city.
Director Manh Ha chose a gentle, poetic narrative style, emphasizing the simple beauty of riverside life. He used everyday details - alluvial flats, markets, the sound of boat engines, Ben hamlet meals - to create a space rich in emotions and connected to the values the Red River brings.
The film brings together a team of talented artists from many generations: People's Artist Tien Dat plays Mr. Tan - the head of the residential group, always skillful in mobilizing the community; Meritorious Artist Quach Thu Phuong plays Ms. Hong - an elegant woman from Trang An, who brings her son back to Ben hamlet to heal after the incident; Meritorious Artist Anh Tho plays Mrs. Hoe, the water seller, the "information connection point" of the hamlet; Ha Phuong Anh plays Nga - a young girl who encounters an incident and is taken care of by the Ben hamlet community.../.
