Coming from the MC field (presenter) and having participated in the reality TV show Vietnamese Men , Lien Binh Phat impressed viewers with his handsome, angular appearance and warm voice. It must be said that when he was chosen to play the main role in the movie Song Lang , everyone said that Lien Binh Phat was the mysterious factor that director Leon Quang Le took a risk on for his debut work.

Not a professional actor, never participated in any movies, "suddenly" became the male lead with a thorny appearance and needed a lot of experience, but Lien Binh Phat has made many audiences satisfied. From the first frames of Song Lang , Phat attracted all eyes with his cinematic face and deep eyes, comfortable acting, quality and "calm as if nothing" dialogue. Phat shared that he learned many valuable things that not everyone learns in their youth when having the opportunity to come to Song Lang .

Lien Binh Phat in real life

Working in both MC and acting fields, Lien Binh Phat has proven that his steps, though slow, are very steady. “I don’t compare myself to anyone” is the point of view that Lien Binh Phat always tells himself during the days of working in a profession that not many people know about. It is this “carefree” personality that has helped Dung “Thien Loi” (the name of Phat’s character in the movie Song Lang ) have an excellent role and also the constant efforts and endeavors for his passion.

With doubts about his ability because he kept working but luck had not come to him, Lien Binh Phat used all his free time to hone many other skills. For Lien Binh Phat, it was not exactly “mastering one art brings glory to life” but he quietly signed up for supplementary classes because he believed that one day when the opportunity arose, he would be ready with all the skills to grasp it. Typically, when director Leon Quang Le handed him a special script like Song Lang , he tried his best to bring a unique Dung “Thien Loi” to the big screen.

Film experts have not spared praise for Lien Binh Phat's performance in Song Lang and his role is absolutely not a fluke but a result of natural talent, combined with honed abilities. When asked if Phat is afraid of being stereotyped in this role next to Isaac, he replied: "I'm not afraid of others stereotyping me, perhaps because of my personality, those things don't affect me much. This is just the first film I've participated in, so it's not good to conclude too soon. I believe that people pay attention before giving me comments."

The expectations that the audience places on Lien Binh Phat's shoulders are also invisible pressure on him, making him try harder in upcoming films. No journey is easy. To get a successful role, Lien Binh Phat spent 1 month limiting meetings with friends, 4 months with 6 castings, 2 filming sessions and countless hours on set. Along the film, the audience sometimes feels hatred, sometimes feels pity for Dung. In his eyes that try to appear cold, there is a search for the warmth of human love, of harmony. Or in the scenes where he sits and talks with Linh Phung (played by Isaac), we can see that Dung not only shows the arrogant temperament of a gangster but also the image of a man with a strong masculinity who has feelings for a singer.

Lien Binh Phat and Isaac play two male characters with unnamed feelings in the movie Song Lang

All of that comes from the very days that Lien Binh Phat locked himself up with Dung, letting him breathe the breath that Dung was breathing, living the lonely and suffocating life that Dung had lived. The "real life" simplicity that Lien Binh Phat has is the powerful weapon that helps him create a Dung "Thien Loi" that makes viewers hurt to the core and remember forever every time Song Lang is mentioned like that.

Listening and willing to learn are the adjectives that the Song Lang film crew used to describe Dung “Thien Loi” during the days they worked with him. With this escape, Lien Binh Phat certainly had a convincing “debut” in front of the most demanding audience.

Although the director trusted him with a big role, Lien Binh Phat still sees himself as a rookie in this seventh art. He believes that even though it is just a try, he will strive to pursue acting and learn more skills to not let down his supporters.

Lien Binh Phat also attracts audiences with his toned six-pack body.

Besides, he is still "loyal" to the MC profession which has been his passion since childhood. After Men of Vietnam and Song Lang , Lien Binh Phat received many invitations to be MC or guest on TV shows, events... However, he admits that he is quite a careful person, so he only participates in suitable shows. Compared to other colleagues, he chooses the "slow but sure" path to stay in the hearts of the audience longer.
