Green and clean industrial zone

Green growth is a new approach to economic development in countries around the world. Green growth not only brings economic benefits but also aims at restoring and preserving natural ecosystems sustainably. The Prime Minister has issued the National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, which sets the goal of carbon neutrality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

In implementing this strategy, from its inception, Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has recognized and grasped the trend to orient and implement solutions for green growth aimed at sustainable development. This includes prioritizing the attraction of high-tech, environmentally friendly industries such as electromechanical engineering, electronics manufacturing and assembly, automotive industry, and supporting industries – sectors with low CO2 emissions and minimal environmental pollution.

In addition, Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park focuses on attracting investors who are mutually beneficial in the supply chain, creating an "industrial symbiosis" production environment where the output of one enterprise serves as the optimal input for others, thereby minimizing waste released into the environment.

Currently, Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has attracted 20 investors from various countries, most of whom produce electronic products and modern technology for export to European and American countries. Large-scale production projects with significant investment capital include those invested by Lotes Vietnam Co., Ltd. (US$167 million), Greenworks (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (US$200 million), Compal Electronics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (US$260 million), Pegavision Vietnam Co., Ltd. (US$200 million), and Jinro Soju Vietnam Co., Ltd. (US$100 million)...

Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park is a pioneering industrial park, the first of its kind in the Thai Binh Economic Zone, and is becoming a model of a green, clean, smart, and environmentally friendly industrial park. Investors in the Economic Zone and industrial parks of the province will be supported in carrying out administrative procedures and provided with the most favorable conditions to implement their projects.

These are all manufacturing projects in the fields of electrical and electronic products, tablets, laptops, automotive components, industrial fans, beverage production, etc., utilizing modern and environmentally friendly technology. In particular, Jinro Soju Vietnam Co., Ltd. aims to build a standard factory in the Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park – an ideal location combining the most advanced and modern technology. From a JIS standard perspective, the investor places great emphasis on energy management and carbon emission monitoring, creating an environmentally friendly factory.

It can be affirmed that attracting 100% secondary investors in high-tech industries is the number one and fundamental prerequisite for Lien Ha Thai to become a green, smart industrial park that does not cause air or water pollution. After nearly 3 years, Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has reached 50% occupancy, with a rapid occupancy rate, efficient land use, no abandoned land, contributing to reducing emissions and minimizing environmental pollution.

With the goal of building the Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park to meet the Sustainable Industrial Park (ESG) standard, the construction of an environmental management system according to the international ISO 14001 standard is being urgently implemented in 2024. The Lien Ha Thai infrastructure investor has already invested in a centralized wastewater treatment system with advanced technology, including a wastewater treatment plant with a processing capacity of 25,000 m3/day, divided into several phases. In Phase I, the construction of a holding tank with a processing capacity of 5,000 m3/day has been completed, using a combination of chemical and biological treatment technology. The treated wastewater discharged into the environment meets national technical standards, ensuring safety for the ecosystem and the environment.

Right from the infrastructure planning stage, Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has allocated the maximum amount of land for planting trees, creating a buffer zone between the industrial park and residential areas, and planting trees on both sides of the sidewalks of the internal transportation system. This was the earliest implemented item, with tens of thousands of trees of various types already flourishing, providing shade and creating a "green lung" for the industrial factories.

Around factories such as Ohsung Vina, Lotes, Greenworks, Nam Tai, etc., the area is gradually covered in the refreshing green of trees. Along with that, surrounding the factories in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park is a system of canals, clear lakes, and pumping stations, serving both water supply and drainage, flood control, fire prevention and control, as well as regulating temperature, improving air quality, and reducing environmental impact, creating a natural, "park-like" beauty for Lien Ha Thai.

These are the key criteria for products manufactured in Lien Ha Thai to qualify for export to major global markets such as the EU, the US, and South Korea. The Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park plans to continue implementing several environmental protection projects, including: building and practicing the 5S green office standard; collecting and recycling kitchen waste into organic fertilizer (compost) for plants; and using wastewater from the treatment plant to irrigate plants.

It is known that Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has built a fire prevention and fighting center and has selected a contractor to supply equipment and install rooftop solar power systems in 2024, initially investing in a rooftop solar power system at the Industrial Park's office. Based on the practical effectiveness of the renewable energy model, Lien Ha Thai aims to promote and encourage secondary investors to take the lead in using clean energy for production and business, contributing to building a green and sustainable industrial park.

Smart industrial park

Along with building a green industrial park, Lien Ha Thai is developing a smart industrial park. All information about Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, including land, site layout, transportation, technical infrastructure, the capacity of infrastructure investors, investment procedure guidelines, mechanisms, preferential policies, and support from the central government, the province, and infrastructure investors, is digitized and publicly available on digital platforms such as websites, Zalo, and Facebook.

Domestic and foreign investors interested in investment opportunities in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park can find and understand all the information here from anywhere without having to visit the site in person, thus shortening the time and saving costs.

Green i-Park Joint Stock Company is hiring several reputable consulting firms to survey and build an automated, digitalized system for managing vehicle entry and exit from the industrial park, detecting unfamiliar vehicles to ensure security and safety. The integrated camera system, along with wastewater management software, will automatically monitor and promptly warn of pollution risks, preventing environmental incidents.

The company is preparing to pilot a software system for managing human resources and coordinating the work of office staff in the industrial park, in order to better meet the requirements of secondary investors and create a foundation for building the planned and developing urban and service areas, soon becoming the first smart industrial-urban-service complex in the Thai Binh Economic Zone and the Northern region.
