On August 27, Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - assigned the Provincial Police to urgently investigate and strictly handle subjects who stole electrical equipment and underground cables on the Ho Chi Minh Road Project, the eastern bypass section of Buon Ma Thuot City.
This is one of the key projects of Dak Lak province, currently in the final construction phase. However, recently, the project has been the scene of theft of many electrical equipment and underground cables, causing estimated damage of over 1 billion VND.

According to the leader of the Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction and Rural Development Project Management Board (the project investor), the unit has sent a dispatch to Ea Ktur and Ea Knuec communes to notify them of the theft of lighting system equipment of the Ho Chi Minh Road project, the eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot. However, the incident has not yet been investigated.
The Ho Chi Minh Road project, the eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot, has not been handed over for use yet. Therefore, to ensure the management of public assets of the project and strictly handle thefts according to the law, the investor reports to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant units to coordinate in investigating and handling this case.

The Ho Chi Minh Highway construction project, the eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot City, has a total investment of more than VND1,800 billion and is under construction with two construction packages, with the output reaching nearly 85%. The project is being urgently completed to ensure progress before December 31.
