Four Vietnamese players will compete in the third qualifying round of the Veghel 2024 3-cushion carom billiards World Cup from this afternoon (October 22), including: Nguyen Hoan Tat, Nguyen Chi Long, Le Thanh Tien and Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu. Of which, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu was the name set to compete in the third qualifying round from the beginning. Nguyen Hoan Tat, Nguyen Chi Long and Le Thanh Tien are the 3 players who passed the second qualifying round (taking place from the afternoon of October 21 to the early morning of October 22).
Three Vietnamese players, Le Thanh Tien, Nguyen Hoan Tat and Nguyen Chi Long, will all take to the field at 4:30 p.m. today (October 22, Vietnam time). Thanh Tien will face Sung Il-jeong (South Korea), Hoan Tat will face Kostantinos Kokkoris (Greece), while Nguyen Chi Long will face Atsushi Kiyota (Japan).

3 Vietnamese players lead in scoring efficiency in the second qualifying round
In the third qualifying round, 48 players are divided into 16 groups (3 players each), playing a round-robin to calculate ranking points. The 16 players who finish first in each group will qualify for the fourth (final) qualifying round of the Veghel World Cup 2024.
Le Thanh Tien is in Group P with Sung Il-jeong (South Korea) and Huub Wilkowski (Netherlands). Nguyen Hoan Tat is in Group N with Kostantinos Kokkoris (Greece) and Claus Maurer (Austria). Nguyen Chi Long is in Group O with Atsushi Kiyota (Japan) and Joey De Kok (Netherlands). Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu is in Group H with Herbert Szivacs (Austria) and Jordy De Kruijf (Netherlands).
In the second qualifying round, Nguyen Hoan Tat, Nguyen Chi Long and Le Thanh Tien all played excellently with a perfect record and won tickets to continue with the top position in the group. The 3 Vietnamese players even led the rankings of players with the best scoring efficiency. Meanwhile, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu is a skilled player.
