In the Industrial Property Gazette No. 452, Volume A, Book 2, November 2025, VinFast registered design protection for 3 completely new mysterious car models. Among them, there are 2 SUV models and 1 sedan model. Through the images published in the Industrial Property Gazette, it can be seen that all three new VinFast models are equipped with large radiator grilles. This makes many people think that these are hybrid models that VinFast is rumored to sell in Vietnam next year.
The rumor originated from an event by Chinese tire company Sailun, which currently has a factory in Tay Ninh province. During the event, Sailun used an image with the VinFast logo to illustrate the hybrid tire lines that the company will sell in Vietnam from 2026. According to rumors, VinFast's new hybrid models will be developed based on the VF8 and VF9 electric SUVs. Most likely, VinFast's new recruits will be EREV (Extended-Range Electric Vehicle) hybrid vehicles. This is a line of vehicles equipped with a gasoline engine that charges the battery while the task of transmitting power to the wheels belongs to the electric motor. In addition to the engine, the 3 new VinFast car models also have quite eye-catching designs. Among them, there is a large SUV model with a 3-row interior. This SUV is equipped with a radiator grille that extends down to the front bumper, slim headlights and large vertical air vents at the two front corners of the car.
Behind the car are two vertical light strips located in the middle of the trunk door. Next is a sedan with a similar design to the SUV mentioned above. It seems that this is just a low-chassis version of the new large SUV from VinFast. The other model is also in the SUV segment but is smaller in size. This model is designed in a sportier and more youthful style with prominent embossed lines on the sides. An interesting point in the dossier is the information about the design team. The first two models were designed by Jae Hoon Lee (New Zealand) and Dimitri Vicedomini (Italy).
Among them, Jae Hoon Lee is familiar with the VinFast community, having participated in the development of VF7, the VF Wild pickup concept and most recently the super SUV Lac Hong 900 LX. Currently, VinFast has not announced or confirmed any information about these 3 models. If the rumors are true, VinFast seems to be planning to diversify its product portfolio, thereby expanding its customer base to those who like electric cars but are concerned about driving range and do not want to spend a lot of time charging the battery.
