On November 30th, at the Hall located at 45 Ba Trieu Street (Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi ), the Hanoi Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Protection Fund, along with sponsors, held a regular meeting for the "Shining" Club. The event featured reputable sponsors and speakers such as Mr. Dinh Tien Duc - Director of Tien Phong Bank Branch, and Mr. Ninh Viet Tu - Director of VNK Mechanical and Electrical Construction and Maintenance Joint Stock Company. The highlight of the program was the "Risk Management Skills" session, shared by Ms. Nguyen Thanh Nga - a clinical psychology expert from Dinh Tien Hoang High School.

The students actively participated, enthusiastically discussing and experiencing hypothetical scenarios, thereby applying basic risk management methods. The core message conveyed to them was: "Turn risk into plan, turn anxiety into action."

Within the framework of the program, Mr. Duong Minh Cuong, General Director of Minh Cuong Mechanical - Construction - Trading Joint Stock Company, shared practical experiences on how to minimize risks and avoid wasting time unnecessarily. Through these sharing, the students learned a profound lesson about valuing time and keeping appointments with everyone.

The session successfully provided practical knowledge, stimulated proactive thinking, and inspired and helped the students develop skills to protect themselves and confidently shine in the future.

Beyond knowledge and skills, club members also receive practical material support. As usual, each student participating in club activities receives 1 million VND in cash from sponsors, not to mention rewards for those who achieve excellent grades on their homework. The total amount of funds distributed at the November 30th meeting reached 54,700,000 VND.

The "Shining" Class - an 8-year journey of igniting determination.

The recurring event on November 30, 2025, is just a glimpse into the enduring journey of the "Shining Classroom" project. Initiated in 2017, the project focuses on students from disadvantaged families who strive to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. What sets the "Shining Classroom" apart is the comprehensive and long-term support from sponsors – successful entrepreneurs – helping these students from special and difficult circumstances realize their dreams and aspirations.

Over the past eight years, the project has provided comprehensive, long-term support that has yielded tangible results. The classes are held regularly every month, with each student receiving 1 million VND per month to support their living and studying expenses throughout their three years of high school and up to the halfway point of their first year of university. Many former members of the "Shining Class" share that this financial support is a crucial resource that helps them maintain their education, mature, gain the knowledge to live independently, and continue to inspire others to share and help those in difficult circumstances.

Through the "Shining Class" program, members gain knowledge and experience in learning English, life skills, and receive career counseling and guidance. In addition, they receive practical advice and career guidance from sponsors to build confidence, stability, and maturity. Importantly, even after leaving the class after the first six months of university, students maintain connections with sponsors in a separate group, receive support in finding part-time jobs, and, more importantly, receive companionship and support in overcoming difficulties and challenges on their journey to establishing themselves and their careers.

The achievement that makes dreams come true.

After 8 years of implementation, the "Shining Class" has achieved admirable results. From 2017 to the present, the "Shining Class" has supported hundreds of children with a total funding of billions of VND. In the first 9 months of 2025 alone, the Center organized monthly Shining Clubs and provided financial support for the education of 44 children. Many members of the "Shining Class" have been admitted to university and have stable jobs. Many have overcome adversity to grow up and become useful members of society.

The core objective of the "Shining" class is to provide career guidance for disadvantaged high school students. This helps them identify the right path in their career choices and focus their resources on realizing their dreams, thereby building a better life. According to Vu Hong Thu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Protection Fund, this process has received effective support from entrepreneurs, and this will be a key focus for the Center in the future.

The journey of the "Shining Class" continues. To empower and motivate children from disadvantaged backgrounds, the Hanoi Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Protection Fund hopes to continue receiving the support of many organizations, businesses, and philanthropists in this long-term journey of supporting those in difficult and special circumstances.
