The flood peak on the Vu Gia River at Ai Nghia is 1.3m above alert level 3 and is 0.04m higher than the exceptionally large flood in 2007, 0.29m higher than in 2017; at Cam Le it is at alert level 3.

On Thu Bon River at Giao Thuy, the water level is 1.2m above alert level 3 and 0.4m higher than the exceptionally large flood in 2007 and 0.5m higher than in 2017; at Cau Lau, the water level is 1.2m above alert level 3 and 0.05m higher than in 2017; at Hoi An, the water level is 1.1m above alert level 3.
In the next 12 to 24 hours, floods downstream of Vu Gia - Thu Bon are forecast to slowly recede and will be at alert level 3 to above alert level 3, Tam Ky river will be at alert level 1-2.

According to statistics up to 8:00 p.m. on October 27, large hydroelectric reservoirs in Da Nang City were still operating to discharge water through the spillway, specifically: A Vuong Hydroelectric Plant discharged 1,001m 3 /s, Dak Mi 4 discharged 2,204m 3 /s, Bung River 4 discharged 1,270m 3 /s, and Tranh River 2 discharged 1,634m 3 /s.

In the evening of the same day, floodwaters began to overflow on National Highway 1A in the communes of Chien Dan, Thang Dien, and Xuan Phu in Da Nang City.
