Currently, water levels on rivers in Da Nang City are rising. At 7 PM, the water level on the Vu Gia River at Hoi Khach was 0.97m above alarm level 3, and at Ai Nghia it was 1.56m above alarm level 3.

Water levels on the Thu Bon River at Nong Son are 3.06m above alarm level 3, at Giao Thuy 0.86m above alarm level 3, at Cau Lau 0.73m above alarm level 3, and at Hoi An 0.66m above alarm level 3. Water levels on the Han River at Cam Le are 0.44m below alarm level 2; water levels on the Tam Ky River at Tam Ky are 0.1m above alarm level 1.
The Central Vietnam Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that in the next 6 to 12 hours, floods on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon rivers will rise above alarm level 3. The peak flood level on the Vu Gia River at Ai Nghia will be 1.3m above alarm level 3, 0.04m higher than the exceptionally large flood of 2007, and 0.29m higher than the flood of 2017; at Cam Le, it will be at alarm level 3.

On the Thu Bon River at Giao Thuy, the water level is 1.2m above flood alert level 3, 0.4m higher than the exceptionally large flood in 2007 and 0.5m higher than in 2017; at Cau Lau, the water level is 1.2m above flood alert level 3, 0.05m higher than in 2017; at Hoi An, the water level is 1.1m above flood alert level 3.
Over the next 12 to 24 hours, flood levels in the lower Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin are forecast to recede slowly and remain at or above alarm level 3, while the Tam Ky river will be at alarm level 1-2.
The Central Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Station warns of widespread and prolonged deep flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, and waterlogging in urban areas, especially in the communes of: Que Phuoc, Nong Son, Duy Xuyen, Thu Bon, Xuan Phu, Thuong Duc, Ha Nha, Vu Gia, Dai Loc, Go Noi, Thu Bon, Hoi An, Nam Phuoc…
According to statistics as of 8 PM on October 27th, major hydropower reservoirs in Da Nang City are still operating and releasing water through spillways, specifically: A Vuong hydropower plant releasing 1,001 m³ /s, Dak Mi 4 releasing 2,204 m³ /s, Song Bung 4 releasing 1,270 m³ /s, and Song Tranh 2 releasing 1,634 m³ /s.

On the evening of the same day, floodwaters began overflowing onto National Highway 1A in the communes of Chien Dan, Thang Dien, and Xuan Phu in Da Nang City. Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Hong, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City, said that the unit had deployed forces to direct traffic to ensure safety and smooth flow on the route.
In addition to the checkpoint forces, the department assigned numerous patrol teams to key routes to handle complex situations. At 8:15 PM on the same day, in the Thang Dien commune area, the task force of the Thang Binh Traffic Police Station discovered a mother and child in danger in the middle of the river.

At that moment, the mother was carrying her young child who had a high fever and needed emergency medical attention, but the road was deeply flooded and there was no transportation. Immediately, the task force mobilized specialized vehicles to transport the mother and child across the flooded area to the hospital safely so that the child could receive timely emergency treatment.
